Ozito Battery - Warranty about to Expire, Should I Get It Replaced?

Hi guys,

Approaching 3 years ago I purchased the following:
- https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-fast-charger_p6290…
- https://www.bunnings.com.au/ozito-pxc-18v-2-0ah-lithium-ion-…

The blower comes with 5yr warranty, but the charger and battery comes with 3yr warranty. The 3yr warranty is up at the end of this month.

Now I don't actually have any issues, it still works and does the job. But, I assume after 3 years of use the battery has probably degraded.

Should I use the warranty and get the battery replaced with a new one?

Thanks.

So the item is working as described, you have experienced no issues but you want to claim a warranty.

Customers like you are the reason shops should be able to tell customers to F off.

… I want to speak with the manager!!!!!!

You got 3 years out of a $35 battery and now wanting to replace because warranty is about to expire even though the battery has no issues? Wow.

  • +3

    lol

Should I use the warranty and get the battery replaced with a new one?

    How would you do it?

  • +7

How can someone have time in their life to actually remember or worry about something so trivial

    • +3

write the date the warranty expires on the things you buy…

      • Admittedly not a bad idea all (you have my vote); but not to be used as Op described

    Isn't this bordering on fraud?

    • +11

      It is fraud

  • +2

Why stop at the battery, the tools will be "worn down" as well, or do you plan to go for the 5 years and replace them at that time?

(just to save you wasting a negative vote - my tongue is in my cheek fellas)

If you want to be a fraudulent scum bag then go ahead

    Ok that's clear. I won't do it.

Wow, what a bunch of great community comments and straight up attacks.
Clearly @Pbm44 is asking the community should / could he get a warranty on a slightly degraded battery.
The answer is no, batteries still function.

"Probably" degraded is not slightly degraded.

OP has no issues with product, is just guessing.

Imagine taking an iPhone back to Apple after 23 months because the battery used to last 8 hours and now it last 7.5, get laughed outta the country.

      • An iPhone battery that lasts 8 hours I think you're dreaming 🙂

Wait…I am a bit confused…(not that I am in favour of OP returning these)….but how is this different from creating multiple sign ins on a website to get multiple vouchers??

    Isn't that fraud too??

    • LOL!

    • I don't reckon, because you are trading your email/information for the voucher. IF the terms state something like "one voucher per customer" then yes, you are being fraudulent.

      • +1

        Interesting point made -

What about the Bose Soundlink when people were stacking vouchers to reduce the price?

        And 7-11 fuel fake location?

  • +1

The blower comes with 5yr warranty

Don't forget to claim warranty on the blower in 2 years time to get a new one.

Guys - Just help OP on his question … where is this holier than thou attitude coming from?

    • +1

Probably the same place you got yours from?

An Ozito anything lasting a year?? It would be a museum piece…

If you think its rooted, take it back. Most wouldnt worry about it.

  • Replace your conscience .. Its expired..

  • It’s scary OP needs to be taught this is wrong. Can you imagine what else they are capable of that they didn’t question first

    • Yes, it is fixing the symptom… only OP can address the cause.
