830

Another freebie for your Android devices.

From the office:

Do you have a refined taste for games?
Are you searching for the ultimate immersive experience in mobile games?
Why do you pour the milk before the cereal? Ouch, wrong chat.

If you answered positively to the first two questions, Railways will certainly suit your interests. From the makers of Traffix, Railways is a simulation game where you have trains, passengers and railways. Your goal is to move the trains strategically between the tracks, picking up the passengers and preventing crashes. Your mission is complete when you collect all the passengers.

Mind the gap and start managing your railways!

To manage the trains like a master, you have to learn how to:
- Stop a train for a limited time with a single tap;
- Drag the train to create a new track;
- Automatically pick up nearby passengers and fill the trains;
- Avoid running over passengers when changing the route;
- Prevent crashes between trains.

Railways features minimalist and artistic elements merged in an immersive experience where the perks of a train trip are emphasized: astonishing landscapes observed at slow pace. Each level will bring a new challenge to the track, more chaos and of course clever moves from your side. All aboard! This train is ready to depart!

How much time can you keep the trains moving? Find out now!

This new game by Infinity Games is a magnificent train simulator where patience is a virtue. In order to succeed, you need to wait for the right moment and use your skills to drag the trains from one railway to another. You know that you will lose if the trains collide but you also know that you have all the time in the world to make a smart move. Furthermore, you can also stop the trains for a while.

If you have the patience of a monk, you will have a great time with Railways!
If you are an impatient person, you can use Railways to improve those skills!

Features:
- Premium look and artistic features: you will not just play a mobile game. You will behold a masterpiece!
- Immersive gameplay: after a couple of levels, you will find yourself absorbed by Railways imaginary world.
- Curated levels crafted by train conductors: Railways levels were designed by train conductors with +10 years of experience.
- Multiple achievements to conquer: picking up the passengers is just the beginning.
- Smooth difficulty curve

Did you know that 0% of players passed level 1?
That is because at the date I am writing this text the game is not yet released.

Infinity Games aims to provide the best game experience within its titles. We love showcasing new minimalist puzzle games and making people think while relaxing and having fun.

Enjoy!

    This isn't how trains work!!

    If you want a far better game, Mini Metro is my #1 game of all time. Much less dragging, more careful management and optimisation.

      Not free at the moment though

    • To be fair in the real world trains are separated by signals and track sections and have protection on those signals to stop you from entering sections you're supposed to be in, etc. Wouldn't really make for the most exciting gaming!

      • +2

        Hey hey hey, testing signalling interlockings is my day job and its not that boring!

        • +1

          Driving trains is mine, and it's not that exciting either lol

          • -3

            @Danimal86: You certainly must be excited by the pay packet you get. It pays very well considering the job is easy enough to be automated soon.

            • @serpserpserp: It certainly is not easy enough to be automated or it would've been done already. You'll find it exclusively in greenfields developments where they can separate the public from the tracks effectively, but 90% of australia's rail network is capable of having that done cheaply.

            • @serpserpserp: I mean, yeah, how hard can it be, it's not like they have a steering wheel right? (Eyeroll).

              If it's that easy, maybe you should get a job doing it yourself!

              And if you think widespread automation is coming to Australian public transport any time soon, you have far too much faith in our governments and not enough knowledge about the subject.

              • @Danimal86: Well Sydney Metro already has one. Maybe the long haul cargo trains are a bit harder. But things are already heading that way.

                • +2

                  @serpserpserp: Purpose built, isolated lines are much easier to make happen, and I agree that we'll definitely see more of that over time. That being said though, the upfront cost and ongoing maintenance of an automated railway is not always the best investment - especially considering computers running things don't put any of the money they earn back into the economy. And spending huge amounts of money to replace something that already works and getting rid of lots of jobs in the process is not exactly great politics.

                  To do this to something like an existing passenger rail service that commutes large numbers of people over distances north of 100km one way, well, put simply, driverless just isn't going to happen. One of the lines here still uses signalling and safeworking from the 1800s (bells connected via wire between signal boxes, no radios) and many points and tracks are still controlled mechanically by local signallers (think levers and cables, no machines). Railway technology, especially in this country, is so far behind what people outside the industry think.

    This and traffix seem ok at the start but get tiresome fairly quick. I still have MiniMetro installed but both of these are long gone.

    you have all the time in the world to make a smart move

    It's been some months since I played but pretty sure you don't have all the time in the world, there is only so much time to collect all the passenger types or you fail as well.

    To the person who reported the duplicate, link please.

    If you mean the post for iOS, then it is not a duplicate as this post is for ANDROID.

    It's OK, but would be very disappointed if I'd dropped $5.99 on this one.
