2 Months Free Disney+ (New Subscribers) with Purchase of V-Bucks or Item from Fortnite Shop (Serpent Pack $6.25) @ Epic Games

1251

Not a bad deal considering Disney+ is usually $8.99 per month. The cheapest item I could find was this pack from the Playstation store for $6.25 (so basically $6.25 for two months of Disney+).

Subscription can be cancelled at any time and you'll still get the two months.

Beginning November 10th @ 7 pm ET through December 31, 2020, get 2 months of Disney+ on us when you purchase V-Bucks or make any real money purchase in Fortnite — like the currently available Street Serpent Pack. Purchased something earlier this month? We’ve got you covered. If you made any real-money purchases in Fortnite from November 6th @ 10 AM ET, including purchasing V-Bucks, you’re still eligible. Just visit fortnite.com/disneyplus beginning November 10th @ 7 pm ET to redeem your subscription.

Brilliant, my Disney+ sub is ending in a week or two and I'm not above admitting I happily play Fortnite. Cheers, OP.

Edit: Just checked, I'm on until November 26, meaning I can do this and cash in the code on November 26, keep me set up to January 26, and I'll get the missus to do the same thing on her Fortnite, can cash in her 2 months on January 27, 4 days before the signup cut off date. Brilliant, 4 months for 13 bucks basically, and we both get 600 Vbucks. Thanks again, OP.

Isn't it for new subscribers only?

New email address and just to be safe, a different credit card?

  • New subscriptions, don't you normally get a free months anyway? So bonus month for whatever the cheapest thing you can find to buy?

I think it was only a week with Disney+. And they stopped giving it away (like Netflix - which was a month)

Kid will be stoked I'm buying him something voluntarily

    Thanks OP.

  • Do I have to buy it today or can I buy it in two weeks and get the offer as I'm a bit confused when it says "today"

        • +2

Correction. If you made any real-money purchases in Fortnite from November 6th @ 10 AM ET, including purchasing V-Bucks, you’re still eligible.

          Redeeming the two months Disney+ starts November 10th @ 7 pm ET = November 11th 11am AEDT.

Can we stack the Disney+ subscription codes on a single account if we obtain them from multiple Epic Games accounts?

I don't think that's covered in the FAQ.

  • +3

On the Switch and Xbox One versions, the Street Serpent pack is slightly cheaper as $6.05.

    • Thank you sir, just came back here to post that after firing up a quick match on the 'Bone

  • +5

Just so people know the watchlist in Disney plus can only handle 50 items at a time. Don't waste an hour or two creating your best list.

  • +1

Nice. Two months is more than enough to finish the Season 2 of Mando.

  • What's the process for people who don't play fortnite? I've got an epic Games account and an Xbox. Buying the street serpent pack for Xbox is not enough right? Need a fortnite account to redeem the code?

    • +1

An Epic Games account needs to be linked to the Xbox One account, which I'm not sure if it's doable without ever launching Fortnite. Worse comes to worse is you'll need to download Fortnite itself, though it is rather large clocking in at about 35GB.

A safer bet is to buy the pack for an existing account that the youngin' already owns (it's super popular, someone's bound to help) - they keep the Fortnite content and you keep the Disney+ subscription. It's a win-win!

      • 35Gb is "rather large"?!
Call of Duty laughs at your puny download sizes. Consistently over 100Gb, topping out at ~175Gb for Modern Warfare.
Red Dead Redemption is about 150Gb, Destiny 2 was also up around there.

        • +1

36GB is still rather large, especially for those who don't play video games in general, let alone the time it takes to only buy the required DLC just to get the subscription.

  • Does anyone know if the Fortnite account email can be different from the Disney+ account email?

I previously had the Disney+ free trial, but if it needs to be different, I probably need to make some Fortnite accounts with different email addresses

  • Disney getting desperate for new subs.

  • Will this eligible for cashback? Serious question.

    • Did you make a purchase as described in the OP?

      • +3

Yes, I purchased the Fortnite - The Street Serpent Pack on 8/11/2020.

I also linked my Playstation account into my epicgames account for certainty.

        • +2

And now the website is down.

After purchasing a 7 dollar DLC that I'll never use.

  • Same thing here, purchased for xbox and linked the account and not eligible.

Has anyone been successful in claiming the so called 2 months of Disney?

  • +2
    • Thanks for that. Keen to hear of any updates. Cheers.

    • They didn't fix the not eligible issue

  • There is no street serpent pack in the PS store

    • It'll be in the in-game store instead.

      • +1

Nope. When I go there it tells me there is no content. I can't even buy v bucks

        • That's odd, it's showing up fine on the Switch version.

          Probably a PS-centric bug.

  • I bought the code for Xbox,
    How can I redeem it?
Can I redeem it in my windows installed version?
I didn’t receive any code from Microsoft when I order, just the invoice.
Sorry, very new to fortnite .

  • Has anyone been able to successfully redeem this offer?
I've purchased the street serpent pack on the Switch, linked my account but have been getting the same message.

  • Anyone solved the not eligible issue?

  • Got it.

For reference, I already linked my Nintendo Switch account with Epic Games when I first launched the game (a while ago). Skip to today, I launched the Switch version of the game and bought the Street Serpent pack from the in-game store. Once bought, I then logged in my Epic Games account on PC and clicked on the yellow "Start Here" button in the main link, which lead you to enter your email (doesn't have to be the same as Epic Games, etc.).

I believe it has to be bought in the game itself as the T&C do state "If you made any real-money purchases in Fortnite from November 6th". I presume that purchases made outside the game may not work, as content bought elsewhere won't recognise you've linked an Epic Games account with the consoles' account (a requirement).

Safe bet is to buy it through the in-game store by downloading Fortnite and linking your console's account (Xbox Live, PSN, etc.) with your Epic Games account.

    • +1

Thanks, I had to go into the game after purchasing to activate it.

      • Where do you go in game to activate it?

        • +1

A window acknowledging the special purchase will pop-up automatically right after buying the Street Serpent pack in-game (or immediately after booting up the game, as with davidl's case).

          • @silverrat23: Didn't happen for me… Plus I can't even buy anything in game.

            • +1

@joshr1pp3r: yeah what silverrat23 said. I've never played fortnite before so when I booted up the game there was a window acknowledging my purchase. I made the purchase on the Nintendo eshop before I downloaded the game.

  • Alright, I sent an email to refund the PS purchase, and I installed fortnite for PC, bought it there, and now it all works.

  • We bought Serpent pack from my son's Fortnite ID (directed to Playstore) and received a message that we are eligible for Disney+. Would that mean we will be required to setup Disney+ using his email id? And can i do it anytime until end of December?

    • +1

Would that mean we will be required to setup Disney+ using his email id?

Doesn't have to be his email address, it can be any.

And can i do it anytime until end of December?

Yes, you can hold off redeeming the subscription.

  • ok it seems it did not work for me i followed the link and it said to enter email and create password, enter card details but it did not show anything about a redemption code or how to find the redemption code.
I requested a refund but now have to wait 14 days to try this link again to sign up for the trial

    • +1
      1. Download Fortnite (let's use PC for this example).
      2. Launch Fortnite and sign in with your Epic Games account.
      3. Go to the in-game shop and buy the Street Serpent pack (about $6.25).
      4. Sign into that same Epic Games account in a web browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc.).
      5. In that same browser, go to the main link and click on the yellow "Start Here" button, after completing steps 1-4.
      6. Link will redirect to a success page.

Downloading and launching Fortnite is a requirement - otherwise it won't work.

Edit: last sentence in that comment wasn't there when I started typing.

      • Thanks i did everything apart from step 4, will try that after 14 days.
Although I was already logged in but didn't specifically go to the epic website

      • it worked for me now, i think it was because i refreshed the page before (possibly).

  • I purchased some V-buck for my son and when going to the link I get SUCCESS! USE THE LINK BELOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR DISNEY+ PROMOTIONAL OFFER. NOTE THAT THIS LINK WILL TAKE YOU TO THE DISNEY+ REDEMPTION SITE. So that looks good, I go thru the steps and it wants me to sign up etc, straight away. Already have Disney on another account for 3 weeks. How can I delay this 2 month trial? Is it only the purchase that has to be done by 31stDec2020? You can sign up later in Jan 2021? I assume thats what they mean by redeeming by Jan 31 2021?
