The first month is absolutely free. Yes, $0.00 for the first month. Then I'm afraid the monthly cost is $100.00 ex GST per-month after. We can offer additional IPs (at an additional cost with justification).

    Hi MSG,

    We use L5640 processors for their power consumption (60W TDP). At 32 CPUs (16 servers, excluding drives and other components) that's 1.92kW and when the average power rating per-rack is 3kW, it starts to get pricey.

        They are an older processor, yes. We utilise a high-density compute environment and when you start to look at the power draw of individual components, things can get pricey pretty quick. We look for the hardware which will allow us to pass on the savings to our clients without affecting the quality of service.

        If there is a use-case where you require a processor of a specific age (and not clock speed, etc), then please let me know. I'd definitely be happy to work with you and help you out.

    Hi Switchblade88,

    To purchase a physical server of the specification that we are offering, you would potentially be looking at $1000+, plus $80 per month colo fees. Sure, you could purchase your own server and lease the rack space, however some people prefer to lease a server so they do not need to worry about the hardware having issues. We also do not lock people into contracts for dedicated servers, whereas most providers will get you to sign a contract for colocation. Also, most providers do not allow access to such small colocation allocations therefore access in the event of a hardware failure may present issues. We have 24/7/365 access to our racks as well as the ability to call on on-site support for urgent works.
