[PS5, Pre Order] Watch Dogs Legion $68, Yakuza $73.99 Delivered @ Amazon AU, Fortnite The Last Laugh $39 + Delivery @ Big W

630

Edit: Yakuza back to $73.99. Wanted to update this post rather than make a new one.

Launch week is upon us! Some updates to the previous deal I posted. I had a big weekend and no time to post deals - and it seems I've missed a couple! Watch Dogs Legion on PS5 is now down to $68 delivered at Amazon. Assassin's Creed Valhalla is also down to $68. Watch Dogs Legion is also mentioned in this post, but it's yet to be added to a title and is a great price. So I wanted to draw attention towards it.

Fornite The Last Laugh Bundle also now seems to have its cheapest price at Big W. Plus, if you care, Amazon has dropped it by 95c to $44.

A note regarding these tables after PS5 release: I just wanted to thank everyone for your support building this table up in the run-up to the release. After November 12th I'll no longer be updating this table. I don't see a need (or don't see me having the time) to keep track of every release across all retailers post-launch. Besides, I'm sure there's websites out there that will do much better than me! On Launch day I'll post this table in the forums, and that will be that.

For the full list of PS5 upgrade games check out my previous deal.

Also, don't forget the pre-order price guarantee. If the price drops between order and release, you'll pay the lowest price. Also no deposit required for pre-order = pretty good. If you decide you don't want it from Amazon eventually, you can just cancel whenever.

Also, fun note. It seems the cost of the headset briefly dropped to $156.78, so those with that preordered will have a slightly cheaper amount now. Also, the DualSense 5 dropped to $105.72, so that will also be cheaper if you've pre-ordered.

Some important notes from @blah-blah regarding buying from OzGameShop.

Reminder - OzGameshop has different rating logo in their product image and most likely not the Australian version (unless they re-use the same disc). I think there is issues such as if DLCs released later then may not be compatible when downloading from Australian PSN. Also if later deciding to change from physical copy to digital copy then increases chance that will not be able to use previous saved game progress. Not sure on the current trade-in rules too, if need to be Australian version only.

Note on accessories: It seems the 3D Headset and charging station has been delayed in Australia until early December, this is almost a month after release.

Note on the table's inclusion: I've had negative comments about including the whole table in the past, but I've since had more positive community feedback asking for the whole table to stay. So I'll continue with that as new deal come up.

Note on contributors: I also wanted to note that though I've expanded the table significantly, the original design was made by @axeology - they definitely deserve huge credit for where it's up to today.

Note on other retailers: Though I haven't added them to the table, there are some other retailers that are likely worth checking out with PS5 game and accessories pre-orders up:

Note on the retailers in this table: Though I hope this is a comprehensive list of what's available, I don't have any bots keeping an eye on this stuff. So it's entirely possible I've missed a game or a price has updated. If you want to check it out yourself, the links are as follows:

Almost all of Ubisoft games have sucked since 2014.

      •

Haha true, valhalla looks good atleast

      •

        splinter cell not suck

        •

We haven't had a Splinter Cell since 2013 so his point still stands!

I'm 30 hours deep, and wouldn't at all say that.

It's not fantastic, but I wouldn't say it's robbing me of my time either.

      Certainly enjoyable enough.

Even if it's true, you have to explain why, otherwise your opinion is irrelevant.

I played Watch Dogs Legion on PC, here's my review:

The new "Play As Anyone" system is as impressive as it sounds on paper, creating a host of intriguing characters if you choose to dive into their backgrounds. Crafting your own version of DedSec is a ton of fun, especially early on. The problem is the game play of Watch Dogs Legion is mostly the same as its predecessors and the missions are quite repetitive overall. It's not a step back for the series, but the hacking and stealth core of the series does need an overhaul. Finally, the graphics are amazing (Ray Tracing looks lovely), though for some reason I do not at all understand the blurry cut-scenes. Hopefully, the online component might be a little more fun.

        • +1 vote

I turned off depth of field altogether to fix the cutscenes. Looks crispy now.

        • +2 votes

thanks, that's what I was looking for. The missions were boring and repetitive in prior games, way beyond the somewhat repetitive missions you get in Ghost of Tsushima or a Far Cry game, for example.

Watch worth a buy about Watchdogs just the same recycled buggy mess

    •

yeah yeah its a console game, a console console console game

      •

        Sounds like you need consoling.

        •

It's a song Worth A Buy plays when playing overly consolised games.

Don't waste your money, playing this at the moment on PC - it's honestly a step back from Watch Dogs 2.

  •

Not trying to derail this deal and its good to see PS5 titles coming down but this game only gets 71% at Metacritic.com

    • +1 vote

Totally understand! Saying a game is reviewing poorly isn't tarnishing the deal, just letting consumers be more aware. I don't follow these games, just the ones I'm interested in, so I appreciate you and others sharing :)

  •

Dear OP Can you add harvey norman to the list also thanks for your time kind regards

    •

Hey, there's a link to all the Harvey Norman games at the bottom of the deal. You'll see the reason ubisoft games are cheap is because Harvey Norman is being price matched my Amazon. I won't add them to the table though, they don't have as many sales on the site and the table is getting a bit too wide!

      •

        oh ok

  •

does anybody know if Amazon is Aussie stock for the games? just asking as I wanted to see if other retailers would price match them. Cheers

    • +1 vote

      Yes, usually Aussie stock.

I don’t think I’ve heard anyone being able to price match Amazon cos it’s not a brick and mortar store.

      •

I've price matched games and other things to Amazon at JB Hi Fi multiple times, they say they're happy to do it!

    • +2 votes

EB won't price match online stores. At least my local doesn't.

Keep in mind Watch Dogs Legion comes out after PS5 launch at retail for some weird reason (24/11). The PS4 -> PS5 entitlement and PS5 digital copies will be available on PSN on Thursday though.

Also looks like Amazon are out of stock for a while, shipping for delivery on 19/11 for PS4/X1/XS stock.

  • -2 votes

Does anyone have any idea how to attain a PS5 at launch with no pre-order? Anyone think they will have stock from cancelled pre-orders on launch day? I refuse to reward scalpers with my money but sadly missed on the pre-orders.

    • +1 vote

dude im in the same boat and Im sure i just stuffed up by not preordering.

  • +1 vote

Anyone know why Godfall is still at $109?

Surely there’ll be quite a few preorders cancelled in the next few days if the price doesn’t drop and they’ll realise no ones going to pay $109 for a game.

  •

Anyone know if Big W plans to deliver PS5 pre-ordered games/controllers on launch day or anytime near there? Slowly realising that I overestimated how long VIC restrictions would last and should have opted for click and collect or ordered from somewhere that had any communication regarding this stuff.

    Cheers

  • -1 vote

All good mate, I'll just use the ironically leaked source code and make my own game. Thanks

    • +1 vote

You realise the scammers uploaded 560gb of files and you can't compile and play them yourself because they are extorting the developers for the last essential files? Its only useful for analysis and possibly modding.

  •

FYI I price matched the $68 Harvey Norman deal for AC Valhalla at EB Games. I assume you could do the same for Watch Dogs as its $68 at HN as well.

  •

Those of you who pre-ordered the PS5 from JB Hi-fi for day 1 release, Did anyone get the pick up confirmation from JB Hi-fi for tomorrow ?
