    Guys, I pre-ordered PS5 CD drive version through EBgames sometime back and it’s set for 2021.
    I called EB today and they told me the PS4 pro 1 TB exchange would only give $260 while the PS4 console is $750? Is he right as I thought I’ll get more than $260.
    What are my options to sell my almost new PS4 pro 1 TB ?

      PS4 pro 1 TB should be at least $300 trade in + EB lv bonus, I know because I just trade in recently.

      Nah, minimum you should get is $330 from EB games and that deal runs until late Jan. I got $350 but must have been due to my EB level.
      I traded today because of the double EB world bonus. As above they also have some good trade in deals for Cyberpunk, COD Cold War and Assassins Creed.
      Someone else was asking about the 2021 shipment, and the guy said they really have no idea but the web-site was a rush job and expect the console early to mid Dec' year.

      All stores are hopeful final production numbers will be higher than their initial allocations. You just hope they prioritize pre-orders first, didn't see anywhere where they have to., but they will get a bad rep if they don't.

        Thank you all. I don’t understand how the EB guy in Eastgatdens confidently gave me a wrong trade in value of $260 without even mentioning my EB games level. I’m in level 2 do you guys know the exact amount for trade in ?
        I have not done FB market place before but I’m willing to try it. I recently purchased PS4 pro 1 TB I really hope I get at least $330 for the controller and PS4.
        I really appreciate that we get our pre-orders by the end of this year. The guy on the phone mentioned I could get it anytime in 2021 as per my email

          No.

          Currently digital games download to your console, just as disc version install to your console. The disc version uses the disc as a check that you bought a copy while the digital version doesn't, they can both be played offline single player gameplay.

          Things may change in the future, though I don't see why they would.

      Single player will always be fine. But one day maybe 12 or 15 years from now, the stores will stop supporting it and go offline. Then it’s useless. But that’s a long time from now and you probably won’t even care by then. So digital is literally fine if you don’t want discs anymore.

        In 15yrs time? Yeh… Maybe… But seeing how a generation is 7yrs the hardware will be seriously outdated by then.

        I really wouldn't worry about this. The PS3 store is still going so the Ps5 will be around for a long time.

    From someone who bought the digital version (I pick up on launch date via EbGames).
    Digital vs disc is dependant on how many games you play per year.
    Say you only play 1-3 games a year = digital is fine.
    Say you play more than that, it makes sense to have the disc version since you can buy, resell, etc..

    Games when are released new = top $$$
    Wait a 3-4 weeks and price will start to drop.

        Well you know, say assassins creed, god of war, division new York. Those games are long and you can play for a while.
        Plus I got other stuff to do, last thing I want is being between 4 walls for longer than 2 hours a day playing a game.

      I grabbed digital, only really interested Spiderman exclusives. Maybe one or two others when they eventually come out. Ill mostly play the Series X because family already in the eco-system and my games library on Xbox

      If your a hardcore Playstation fan Digital is not the best choice

      I took the EbGames trade in offer.
      I thought it was worth it, ps4 500gb slim, extra $200 and I got the Ps5 digital.

      Of course I took advantage of the trade in games week.
      Trade in asap and pay the Ps5.

      On Thursday, I just go to EbGames, they have a dedicated pick up desk, show my receipt, pick up the box and walk out.
      No wait, trade in etc

      You can trade towards EB credit to spend on anything but you won’t get the trade in bonus.

      Some states allow trading for cash but you get less.

        Do you know by any chance what the bonus trade in amount is. The thing is that ebgames may not get more stock until next year and the special trade in that ebgames are running will end on 31/01/2021. This could very well mean that by the time ebgames get more consoles the bonus would have expired already.

          Actually quicker would be to search OzBargain deals.

          PS5 Disc is $750 or $450 when you trade in a PS4 Pro.

          There’s also a bonus on top of the $300 depending on your EB World level.

            @sween64: Thanks found some more information. EBgames will give $260 for PS4 PRO in Credit or Cash (VIC) if you do not have a pre-order with them. Usually the cash component is always less than the credit but they have a special going on for bonus trade value till 31/01/2021.

            I've just called my closest branch. The lady on the phone immediately asked if I was asking about PS5 when I asked to be redirected to the tech department. She said they won't be taking any order tomorrow as they won't have any stock and quote "EB and JB won't have any stock either".
            If someone else can confirm this that'd be great.
