There are some issues around HDMI 2.1 on newer receivers. Make sure you check that out before buying, especially if you're using it to game

Would recommend Marantz to anyone on here, my parents had their first Marantz amp for 20+ years and upgraded to another one about 5 years ago.

    • Second this. Was using Marantz for years and recently upgraded to a Yammy. Sound wise I much prefer Marantz

    • Pretty good. Only negative experience was trying to use their Spotify app, which never worked. Chrome cast out similar required.

      • Not necessarily your problem but it has to be a premium account to work on mine.

        • Nah was a stability problem that could be a non issue nowadays with Spotify connect.

  • Available for back order

    • Almost pulled the trigger, but then did a comparison against my old Denon https://www.zkelectronics.com/compare/denon-avr-x2200w/uk/ma…. This is such a useful tool. Based on this, think I'd better wait for a great deal on the beefier SR6012 (3k right now!)

Your Denon is a full-size receiver - this Marantz is a slimline unit, to fit small spaces 👍
You don't need a slimline unit if you've got space for a full-size receiver.

        • I'm absolutely sold on the slimline size with my current one.

  • OOS again lol
