    I've had good success with contacting Adobe online support and saying I'd like to cancel because it's too expensive and I don't use it often. Over the last 2 years I've had at least 6 months credited to me.

        Nah, every few months I'll contact them saying I'm considering cancelling, ask about the cancellation fee etc.
