Cheap Tyre Fitting Gold Coast or Brisbane

Fitting two new tyres onto old wheels. Had a go and am scratching the wheels too much and also stuck at putting the new tyre back on. Not as easy as it looks on Youtube… Looking for local advice as most places on the Gold Coast seem expensive. Willing to go up to South Brisbane, as I have to go there anyway.

  • What is cheap?

    • less than $50? someone is doing this in their garage for $10 a wheel in Pimpama w/o balancing. My tyres have yellow low marks so might not need balancing…

      • You 100% need to balance them. Try east coast tyre and auto in Southport, Southport budget tyres, or budget tyres Oxenford.

        • Cool, will ring them.

      • have yellow low marks so might not need balancing…

Wrong. May need less balancing weights if the yellow dot is aligned with the wheel stem. It is just a fitment guide.

  • +1

You tried putting them on yourself? I'm impressed.

    • yep, saw a few YouTube videos but they mostly use 4x4 tyres and they go in easy.

  • Look up Humpreys Tyre and Auto at Southport (or maybe it’s Ashmore). They are near the Renault dealership.

  • anything in bRisbane? cheapish tyre fitting?

    • tyre trendz is cheap. but anywhere more closer?
