No they are not, the 3DS was officially discontinued by Nintendo last month. As a result this is Big W clearing out the remaining stock of games
Try instore for even more reduced games. Also, just a tip, if you have an old ds/3ds recharge it now and again. Online forums say a long discharged battery may have difficulty receiving a charge.

At least the batteries are easy to replace, not hard wired/sealed like modern phones.

Anyone know where I can buy a brand new 3DS XL for a reasonable price? Been looking for the last few months and still can't find one anywhere. I know they're discontinued but surprised that no stores have had any stock of the 3DS or selling them on clearance at least
After they do the clearance sales the turn over guys clear them at 50 - 70 % above cost . After that period which is now due to Nintendo collectability its more like 300 % . Nothing cheap new . You can easy swap a $110 clearance 3ds console to a switch with change :)

Just get a used one for around $80-100.
If you search hard enough you can get them bundled with games for $100ish.
