[Solved] DHL Says IdeaPad S540 Delivered at 04:45am 16th Nov 2020.

Hi … i was expecting delivery of Ideapad S540 13 ARE by Lenovo via DHL.

Now DHL status shows this morning that its delivered at 04:45am. I have called them and they are investigating.

Whats happening and what shall i do next ? Who delivers at 04:45 am and who recieves at this time ?

Edit: DHL Site says its delivered on 16th Novv 2020 at 04:45am, so definitely its referring to Melbourne time zone.

Edit: Thanks all. Delivered at 11:20am, though DHL site still showing same Delivered status of 04:45am.

      It's good to look for people having similar experiences to be aware of preventive actions you can take, counter arguments you can give etc.

    Take a big deep breath……

    1. Thank heavens it wasnt "delivered" at 4.45pm
    2. Give DHL time to look into it
    3. Take up a meditation class while waiting.

    If no go

    We'll arrange an Ozbargain search party by offering members a free paper straw if they join in, they love these kind of deals

    Unless you can think of something else we can do.

    Otherwise I would guess its up to Lenovo and DHL to fix it for you. Again point 1 would really be your friend

    My dogs were barking at 4:45 this morning. On investigation I found a parcel at my front door. It's a laptop I didn't order. Pity it's an HP so clearly not OPs.

    Had this happen once, DHL's tracking can be messy. My tracking fixed itself as soon as the next scan in their logistic flow happened.

        It wasn't marked as delivered but something like Arrived in Australia even though the scan 2 hours earlier was in Shanghai. Tracking went back to Shanghai few hours later.

          That's probably the customs clearance, with DHL Express it's cleared before it arrives in the destination Country so you get the customs scan at the destination before it actually arrives.

    I have had deliveries from international couriers before and the time shown is often based on the time at the departure point. So, as you go down the tracking, to keep it consistent, they keep the time in the same format as it left the destination. So, 4:45am their time, may be 2:45pm our time. (but that could still make it Sunday??)

    The other thing it could mean was this was the time it reached the departure centre and was sorted into a vehicle for delivery. So, the parcel may have arrived at the last handling depot at 3am, got unpacked and sorted and loaded into a van for delivery at 4:45am.

    Not saying that's what is happening, just offering what may be happening. Still have to chase it up though.

    Could be a tracking fault or maybe it's been 'delivered' to the last mile carrier, I've had that sometimes.

    There is sometimes a drop-down menu on the webpage to select which time zone you want to view it in? Can choose the origin or destination. Is it set to the destination time zone? If so, then maybe DHL have a very efficient driver….who may also be on crack, haha.

    I had a courier delivery at 645am last week (not DHL). If the courier is private subcontractor it's certainly not beyond the realms of possibility that they would deliver something early if they have authority to leave.

    I really don't like dealing with DHL. I have had product ordered from them since the Amazon Prime Deals and it never came. Have a look at their reviews online and you'll see. I ended up refunding my order.

    I think it happens because maybe the driver doesn't get more parecels until they marks theirs as delivered. so they receive items, mark all as delivererd, then get more parcels and then with a fully packed car they begin their journey.
