[NSW] 4x $25 Vouchers to Every Adult to Spend in Restaurants/Cultural Institutions

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Not sure if this counts as a deal, however I’m sure my fellow Ozbargainers will be very pleased by this freebie! Sounds like a good way to get people out spending again, some classic Keynesian style fiscal stimulus.

“Anyone over the age of 18 will receive four x $25 vouchers through the Service NSW mobile app.

Two can be used on food at restaurants, cafes and clubs and the other two can be used for entertainment activities, such as cultural institutions, performing arts, cinemas and amusement parks.

The vouchers cannot be used on retail, alcohol, gambling or cigarettes and can only be used at COVID-19-safe businesses that sign on to the scheme.”

Mod note: The scheme is reported to be rolled out 'early 2021' without any definite start date, and does not satisfy our deal posting guidelines for upcoming deals. It is therefore moved to forums for discussion. It can be re-posted at a later date when it begins or when the specific start date is known.

        • $25 off, though you actually get two, so not sure if they're stackable or not. Still, $50 off is better than $0 off.

Think of it as a nicer way the Liberal government is saying "F@#$ you".

  • Since it's through Service NSW, does that mean it's only available to Permanent Residents & Citizens? Temporary (work visa) residents are not covered?
