I feel like I already made it just looking at this post!!!

    • Not sure I'm picking up what you're putting down.

  • How is the one advertised different from this one..

    https://www.masterofmalt.com/whiskies/redbreast/redbreast-21…

    • Master of Malt is based offshore and shipping is typically very expensive - $44 for the bottle here. Still ends up cheaper than OP but I don't know if I would risk buying from overseas personally.

      • You might need to consider the real cost of purchasing from overseas.

Bottle price + shipping + 5% of bottle price + alcohol tax + gst + DHL disbursement fee

        256.12 + 44.82 + 12.80 + ~27 + 34 + 11 = approx 385.75 depending on forex

Edit - just checked DHL updated disbursment fees are now $20 or 3%

        so now actually becomes $394.75

I bought this recently from Nicks:
    https://www.nicks.com.au/redbreast-21-year-old-single-pot-st…
    Great deal

    • Damn, Nicks deal looked amazing.

    • And how is it? I've only tried a few Irish whiskies. They are.. Ok. Disinteresting.

      • Start with the Redbreast 12 - it is fantastic - won world whiskey of the year 2 years ago. Archie Rose won the same category this year (Sydney whiskey)

I haven't opened the 21 yet as I only purchased it last week

  • Yes its expensive, but yes its an amazing whisky.

I've given to many a non-scotch drinker and converted them. Only problem it its all downhill from here if thats your first taste of whisky.

    Good price.

  • There was a time, not so long ago, when I could justify 3 or 4 hundy for a BOP.

Alas those days are gone. For now.
