This is excellent value. It's fast enough to be your main drive.
Heck, I wished both Sony and MS had forgo their "Special SSD" shenanigans instead for just a bog-standard nVme drive.

Here's hoping they also put a sale on the 2TB version for double-price (AUD $270).
That would be a great drive as either the main, or as a secondary (or even externa/raid).

        • Sony have a regular m2 nvme port available for user expanded storage.

@Agret: Not currently usable, and it may also need a high speed drive like the Samsung 980

Got free delivery to Brisbane, Thanks OP.

    Thanks OP , ordered one.
free delivery to Melbourne metro too!

  • Damn! Just purchased from Centrecom for $147 delivered.

  • I really need one and this has kinda been on my list for a second cheap drive for VMs should it fall below 100.

But at its current price point and considering you just get a year warranty, hard to justify the price tag… Feel there are better options (price/warranty/performance) if you are willing to shell out a tad more!

  • Surpriced that no comment on +$ for Samsung 970.

shoppingsquare :) this is not shoppingexpress…. i got my Ryzen 5 5600X, 64GB DDR4, B550 and 500gb Kingston A2000 Motherboard the day after i ordered it last week :) under 24 hours from online order to delivery to my house.. LOVE shoppingexpress

shoppingsquare can take much longer to delver.

    • i got it 2 days ago and last night got shipped confirmation!
Not necessarily too long , depends on stock level

  • What's a decent enclosure to use this with xbox series x?

I'm tempted to neg this only for the reason that the website states 1 yr warranty in Australia (grey import?).

Rather pay $20 extra from local sellers and get not 2, not 3 but 5 years warranty for peace of mind.

  • Purchased on the 18th, anyone had any updates on shipping?
