  • Can one SAVE the S+H, eg, by getting this item from Amazon.co.uk, ie, during their free shipping sale?

    • The lowest price there seems to be £238.00

      • And those are affiliates, not Amazon UK as such

  • My eldest has been eyeing this up for ages. I completely missed that last deal, and I'm kind of glad I did now.

    Thanks OP!

  • By the way, since this version had been out for little while, any news whether any new version will come out soon?

  • Do these use mains power or is everything battery/USB powered?

    • Actually, I want to know too

      • +2

I'm pretty sure they take batteries as the stock kit. An AC adapter and/or a rechargeable battery pack are optional extras AFAIK.

@X200T. I doubt there is much more they can add right now. It already has bluetooth, so maybe Wifi?

It already has a 32Bit CPU with floating point processor. So its overkill/top of the range already compared to what we use in the real world for embedded systems. Lots of Universities still use the older generations of these anyway.

And there is a lot to be said for learning embedded programming on a limited device, especially without floating point, rather than on something with 10 times more grunt that you should ever need.

        • Thanks for your information, I had been looking at this for the past year and it is now getting to the price point so tempting :P

I just bought it! Don't want to wait anymore :D

  • Went to get one, yet comes out at AUD$235 + postage (18.31).
    That doesn't make sense.

It's still cheap, but doesn't equat to $219? Can anyone explain this puzzle?

    • USD. ie. change the currency to USD and you will see the proper amount. You may then get charged fees though by your bank.

  • It's up to 239.99 now, still nice but should update the post (:

    • Ah! I thought so! However I thought it was because I was viewing it AUD$ like daveted above :P

  • I bought at $249.99, great prices for this kit.

I paid a few $ more, at least I may get it a few days earlier.

  • Has anyone got it yet? Mine still has a delivery estimate of 9th Dec, which was some time ago. The tracking at least gets a result now, but just saying something about NJ on the 1st.

  • Mine arrived on Tuesday, 13th Dec.
