Find Me a Bargain on a Complete Electric Drill Set

Realise I need some tools to screw in a few things so just looking for a simple electric drill with a battery pack for a few odd jobs.

Nothing major just has to be able to drill some screws into wood and assemble some furniture.

Thanks anyone have any good recommendations that won't fall apart after a year?

Been on ozito's gear for 4 yrs now, still going strong.

      • Looks like Ozito is the way to go I'll probably be looking out for this and your personal information of 4 years going strong is just what I needed to hear to convince me that this is the one thanks hopefully you'll have another 4 years and more.

        • Yep, had mine for 2 years but they look and run as good as new.

You'll eventually want to pick up a new tool here and there, (impact driver, multi-tool, angle grinder), and if you start with Ozito you'll save hundreds of $$$ through your journey. Particularly as Bunnings tend to discount these tools frequently.

Don't get the Aldi stuff, cause when you need a new battery, or a new tool, you have to wait for that one month of the year when they sell them.

          • @Keplaffintech: Hmm very true.

I want to buy into a solid ecosystem in case I need other tools later and I am sure they all use the same battery so win win I can just buy the skins I suppose in future after I have the initial battery pack.

+1 for Ozito, cheap and adequate.

If you are only doing a few odd jobs now and again it'll last for years.

    • Yeah this whole thread was great and just enforce a few notions I had of Ozito I might actually be headhunting this now thanks everybody for the personal recommendations excellent thread.

I'm not doing anything too serious just minor house renovations and maybe some pc building and fixing.

  • XU1 from Bunnings works well and very cheap (I believe cheapest available). I have the drill and impact driver combo, no complaints.

  • seems u just missed this

I picked up one 2 days back

    • Oh damn that's ok there is always next time and anyways there might be some stock at my local who knows but at least I have something to look for now thanks for the heads up and recommendation this is what I needed congrats on finding yours.

  • Check Gumtree. You can pick up a half decent one for about $50.

    • Any recommendations on brands or models of what to get or what to avoid I really have no clue on what is like the top 3 or or bottom 3 in this category that's why I'm asking before I make a decision and regret it thanks

  • Might still be able to get the drill and driver combo from Aldi, I've seen a few still hanging around.

    • Thanks I'll keep it in mind
