What does this toaster offer that a $10 toaster doesn't? Apart from a shorter time till replacement when the motorised lift thingy breaks?
Have you ever experienced an uneven toast? Burnt on the edges, or over toasted in the middle? A good toaster would give you an even toast.
There are other improvements but an even toast is the only thing I care about.

Bought this on the last deal thinking the same thing - I agree with theebargainhunter that it cooks it more evenly, but up to you to decide if it's worth the extra $40.
Three main things I was really impressed with:
-It chauffeurs/lowers/raises your toast into/from the heat instead of the spring action lever
-It does cook it more evenly and makes toast a little more crispy
-It's shinyI have a Dualit toaster about $400. Crazy price, yeah for sure. Amazing toast, most definitely.

Just received this and seems faulty, only the inner elements are heating up :/
Jesus i feel i paid way more for this at the start of the year. works pretty well. the buzzer is bloody loud, going to open it up and disable it i think.
I got this recently and absolutely love it! Well worth the price.
