Wahl Clipper Model Comparison?

Wahl seem to have a never ending range of clippers, but nowhere, even their own website does it list them all or allow you to compare. And every retail website only seems to offer a couple for the range, and they're all different from each other
To give an example I looked a some of these:
Wahl Professional ProLithium Series Cordless Taper Clipper
Wahl Professional 5 Star Series Senior Clipper
Wahl Magic Professional Clip Cordless
Wahl 6000CC Salon Series Clipper
Wahl Salon Series Super Power CC Clipper
Wahl Colour Pro Style Clipper

Can anyone explain how the hierarchy works?

There seems to be a few different ranges:
Wahl (regular)
Wahl Salon Series
Wahl Professional
Wahl 5 Star

And this isn't all of them just the ones I've seen so far. I'm thinking that they're doing the old trick of relabeling similar products with different model numbers so you can't price match across retailers..

Not sure of the hierarchy but you definitely want the Wahl's that are made in the USA instead of the standard/cheaper ones that are made in China

i second this, but also look out for wahl made in germany, just as good as made in the ol' usa

I have a made in USA cordless magic. Got it 3 years ago and still going strong. Battery life is impressive.

  • Have you ended up working it out?

Nope, all too confusing. I end up with the 6000cc from Shaver shop since it was "Made in the USA" and all their cheaper models seems to be made in the land of junk. It works well.
