  • Question for those who have upgraded their case before. What do you do with the old case?

    • +7

Leave it out front of house up the street

You could sell it on gumtree/marketplace?

    • +1

I had the original 275R and sold it through Gumtree.

  • Kinda liking that front panel design.

Good riddance to glass fronted hotboxes.

    • The original 275R was a hotbox, this is much better with the semi-open front panel and an extra fan. It is cheaper too compared to when I got my 275R.

  • Pretty new to putting shit in a case, this wouldn't have a problem with fitting a Tomohawk x570, 3080 and watercooling in it would it? All the other thing will fit no problem but these are the ones which take up a lot of space.

might wanna slap the items in question into https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/. It should tell you whether it fits or not

      • Cheers for that, everything fits but it might be a bit cramped, I think I'd be better off going for a full sized case instead.

My mind is telling me to HOLLLLLD for Black Friday, but my finger wants to pull the trigger like an American that just came out of walmart.

    • Me toooo :( Seems so good to not pull the trigger, but I'm not a huge "fan" of the front grill design

      • I caved my dude. There was only 2 white ones left and I caved like Michael Buble after Christmas.

  • Grabbed one on Monday and arrived today. Quality.

Got the white one of this a few months ago. Pretty decent case.

It's got a relatively small(ish) form factor for a full sized case. Which is nice if you want to fit large GPU's and/or CPU coolers without the footprint of a massive case. Some of the "smaller" full sized ATX cases would struggle with this. Airflow is great as you would expect.

  • Has no usb c ?

  • Why do a lot of new full size cases only include such a small amount of 3.5 drives? Expectation everyone has ssds? I keep large drives for storage and have 6 in my pc from various years and varied capacity

    • +2

Pretty much. Honestly my desktop is all SSD now and I have NAS for large storage across the network.

Downside is you can't re-use old varied desktop drives in a NAS. But it's much better for backups and redundancy etc incase a drive dies.

FYI: While it's a full sized ATX case, it's still quite small. So not a lot of room for 3.5' drives.
