StartHere - New MoneyBackCo site?

Hi Steve,
I've been with Moneybackco for years.
Just realise there is a newsite called Starthere.com.au. Is this new Moneybackco site? It works with my Moneybackco login.
Also, there are member levels. What's founder level? What benefit do I get?

Worse rebates than MoneyBackCo from a quick look.

    Hey Blinda,

Basically you're correct, StartHere.com.au is the new Moneybackco. We'll be sending out an email to all MBC members in the next few days which will explain all.

    Thanks, Steve.

But it does not look that good as moneybackco. Less discounts..
      Are you shutting down moneybackco.

"Every year your Founder Level will be automatically renewed provided you've spent at least $100 through StartHere.com.au"

Does that mean $100 in rebates or just $100 spent?

And wow rebates are getting worse…

jus did a quick look moneybackco expedia 6%
checked starthere with my login 3% at founder level wont be clicking through there

  • I just got the StartHere.com.au email also.

I thought it must be malicious spam so I'm glad I checked the MBC forums to look for any feed-back.

StrawberryNet is now only 5% where it was 10% with Moneybackco… Missus won't be happy :(

much worse rebates, on top of the highest level rebates (which are worse than MBC) I will need to ensure that I spend $100 per year.

Does the $10 every year membership fee stay the same? To clarify I mean am I only paying it out of rebates and not out of my pocket?

It's not spam or phishing, it's from us.

Looks there is a problem with the Founder Level rates, they will remain the same as MBC, any transactions you make as a founder will be at the MBC rate, you can continue to use the MBC site at the moment if that makes you fell better.

No annual fee for new StartHere members, same deal for Founders, $10 annual fee from earnings.

Founder level is only available to MBC members.

    Thanks, Steve.

But rates are not that encouraging. All Founder level members wants to stay with moneybackco. :)
Spending $100 also does not seems to be a impressive condition :(

    • +1

So the rates for founder level will be fixed to display the MBC rates, and indefinitely?

Yes would rather not have a yearly minimum of $100…and what happens to a founder level member if they do not meet this minimum?

      • +1

They will loose the level, I suppose after one year. I hope, I can continue with moneybackco.

    All fixed now.

    Thanks, Steve.

    Hi Steve,

From looking at a few of the rebates it looks like that the Founder rebates are 2x the White rebates. Is this correct for all of the rebates? Thanks, TCM

    Steve,

What happens to the transactions that still are still being tracked when you phase out moneybackco ?
For instance, I have a Dell transaction with an ETA feb 2012.

  • +2

You will still have all existing transactions reflected in your StartHere account.

  • well i guess we better all move to buckscoop.

    • what is its difference as compared to moneybackco. All looks good now except the membership condition for $100 per year. It can be more than that, but giving cash back based on that is not much appreciated, I suppose.

Vodafon is now offering $200 rebate?!
    Any restriction on this offer?
Shame I signed my contract in October

    • +3

For December only I think. Vodafone is spending big to get their customers back.

OzBargain will move to integrate with StartHere soon. Doing the coding to fetch the rates. However it's December so things go a bit slowly here :P

Thanks Scotty and Steve. Using Moneybackco and ozbargain, I have received few hundreds in cash back and saved in bargains.
On the contrary my wife says, I am spending more for things I dont need ;)

Would 50% bonus apply to Founder level members? That would be $300 cash back.
Not trying to get in another contract, just curious.

        • +1

Seems $200 cash back has been pulled off. Starthere now listing rebate by member level. $150 for Black/Founder level and $100 for white level. Much clearer now.

        • +1

Looks like founder level is twice white level… so that would make it still the $200 cashback.

          And what 50% bonus?…

  • Yeah no one has said what founder level means in terms of the bonus? If the same deal as Moneyback that is fine but what is the added incentive to the ones that helped you grow?
