  • Why is Bonds celebrating Cyber Weekends?

    • Because weekends are there to celebrate.

      • Yeah but I thought "cyber" weekend was all about IT stuff and electronics

Oh… Just like Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. Got it.

          • @RSmith: No, it's the pagan midwinter festival that was hijacked by the Christians in order to more easily assimilate conquered pagan populations. The gift giving came before the introduction of Christ, at least hundreds of (but possibly more than a thousand) years before. Just as they did with Eostre.

        • Nah, Cyber Monday was traditionally related to shopping done online. Black Friday was traditionally related to physically going out shopping. Nowadays, a lot of people do their shopping online anyway, so it's merged into a kind of weekend sale thing.

still waiting for purchases made from singles day (11/11) to be processed and sent.

like their website, bonds is pretty pathetic.

Hope it's not due to trade war… China is not accepting Aussie items and Australia has taken to hitting below the belt by delaying the clearance of undies.

      • An undies trade war - what has the world come to…

  • Still waiting for my order that was made over 2 weeks ago now.

I can understand the delays but an email/some form of communication from Bonds would be nice.

Received this email from them yesterday (now hoping there's still stock of the items I ordered):

      Dear Bonds Customer,

We are sorry to let you know there was a system error with your recent Bonds order and it failed to show through on our systems at the warehouse. Our IT team have now pushed this order through to the team at the warehouse and it's in the queue to be dispatched. There is delays at our warehouse due to the high volume of orders as well as the social distancing requirements at our distribution centre as our warehouse is based in Melbourne. We have prioritized this with our warehouse to make sure we can send them as soon as possible. We should have it dispatched within 3 business days. As soon as this has left us you will get an email to let you know the tracking information so you know it's on the way. We have also requested these orders be sent as express shipping so once they are in the post they should get to you a lot sooner than normal.

Unfortunately due to the delays in our warehouse team getting your order there may be some items that are not available. Please keep an eye out on your inbox, our customer service team will notify you by email if your order is impacted however we won't know this until the warehouse team try and locate the stock to fulfil your order. In all cases where there is no stock available to fulfil the order we can only refund for the items we cannot provide to you - this will go back to your method of payment and can take 3-5 business days to show on your statement. Our customer service team should have let you know within 5 business day of your orders shipping if we couldn't provide the full order.

We ask at this time that you please be kind to our customer service team, they are here trying to assist you the best they can. We do have a very high volume of contacts now but the team are working very hard to get back to you as soon as they possibly can. We are taking steps to try and avoid this kind of system error happening again. We are sincerely sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused you.

Please reply to this email if we can help you further otherwise thank you for your amazing patience while we get your order to you.

      Kind regards,

      Bonds Customer Service

        • Sounds like a "don't get your knickers in a twist" kind of email. Keep your legs crossed.
