    OVH not a favourite around here? VPS benchmarks doesnt look great compared to Vultr….but its also alot cheaper :)

      I ordered 8 minutes ago and it's still not been provisioned. I'm used to these things being basically instant. Bit of a red flag.

      update: took exactly ten minutes. Not great, not terrible.

      double update: lol, when you create a vps it sends you the password via email, which of course went to spam. Not sure why they don't just let you provide an ssh public key like digital ocean

      I used vultr, vultr is good, but bit expensive, plus i need to pay like 15aud/m more for cpanel

    I just bought comfort for an year with cpanel for 750 approx. for an year, last year there was good deal. I paid 511 for the same.
    I was waiting for some good deal, but this year Blackfriday didnt do much,

    Secondly, the control panel billing is confusing, I tried to renew my old vps, at one place it says 511 for year renewal and the bill says $0 for cpanel, but then on the cpanel licence it says three hundred something for renewal. I am not sure what to do. I tried calling ovh usa today, but they aint taking calls. So i have to buy this new server to be on the safe side. I hope they will probably help me tomorrow. and if refund is needed they might give me.

    Does anyone know what type of hardware they use for their VPS nodes and what performance you can get from them? Having a 250Mbps - 500Mbps limit on what is probably their most popular plans seems odd even when they have 1Gbps for the higher plans. The CPUs are also vCores but I guess that is pretty common as well. Does anyone have a benchmark for their base plan?

          1. Am looking at the Value plan. From past data, was this the lowest priced for 2 years upfront, or previously you have had similar offers with better pricing?

          2. Suppose I prepaid 2 years upfront, and needed to scale to the next plan up. How are the charges calculated? And are the prices for the next plan up locked in the current BF pricing?

              —> This VPS plans are only few months old and benefit from new hardware with NVMe storage, first time they are on sale! so yes, lowest price ever so far!

              —> If you pay 2 years upfront and decide to upgrade, i think the system will charge you the additional cost until the end of your initial contract term. The price reflected will be the standard one though (no BF discount), however you should still get a 15% off as a standard discount for a 2-year term. I will double confirm this though.

    Your VPS deals @ https://www.ovh.com.au/black-friday/ say x% off then you go to checkout and and its only for the first month. That's false advertising, is illegal and pretty shitty practices.

      There is nothing illegal here but we understand there could be confusion and we will aim to make future promotions clearer.
