Any news for updated camera's with people detection similar to E1 Pro that would offer more accurate motion detection and possibly outdoor support as well?

    • Hi, I am afraid not.

      • I think it would be a killer product if Reolink had something like that… Wifi so it's easy to setup, indoor/outdoor/PTZ/People/Face detection..

Good luck with your sales, I might look at your newer 4K people/vehicle setup early next year but waiting on the reviews of the new 12MP camera's you have to see how they compare feature/quality/price-wise…

        • Argus PT is a battery-powered outdoor wifi cam that can pan and tilt. But it would take time to add people detection function probably in future-version, which I cannot assure you of it. You can take a look at it if interested.

    • Wait for Reolink RLC-810A
      https://reolink.com/product/rlc-810a/

      • Agreed.

They keep hinting at dates and then never meet them though.

Might not see them until 2021. Disappointing they aren't releasing at least the compatible NVR so people can upgrade/add these cams later.

It's available now for shipping mid Dec from Reolink! Just bought two. Use code reonwedm810A10off for an extra 10% off.

          • @awelch: Have you got a compatible NVR or using them without?
            I

            • -1

@mactos: My NVR works with 4K so I assumed this would work. If it doesn't I guess I'll put an SD card in each? Are you sure they won't work with any existing NVR? There is also a money back guarantee i should read.

I really want the Google Assistant integration capability for my front door camera. The 410 system doesn't do it. Also the motion detection is so basic I have to turn it down to practically nothing to stop the false positives.

              • @awelch: Last time I checked they said none of the existing NVRs were compatible.
There was mention of a firmware update for the latest version, but when I went to clarify they just said no, it would not be compatible.
                That's why I'm still waiting.

                • @mactos: Their support email has confirmed my NVR will not support the 810A. I am pretty annoyed that their website still claims that the "Reolink RLN8-410 8-channel PoE NVR works perfectly with all our IP cameras – including 4K, 5MP, and 4MP PoE/WiFi cameras".

                  Buyer beware.

                  • @awelch: Hi, the old version will not support it. But the 4K version NVR6616T(hardware H3MB18)and NVR6608T(hardware N2MB02)do support AI function. Please kindly check.

                    • @dealbest: When you try and confirm the hardware version of the NVRs currently for sale, customer support just say not compatible with AI and do not actually give you the hardware version numbers.

                      • @mactos: Sorry about that. The old version and the new version is in switchover and might be at different status in different platforms. But if you already purchased one, you may check the version mentioned above.

                        • @dealbest: I will not purchase until they clarify the hardware versions prior to purchase, which they will not do.
                          Buyer beware.
