      what is the bargain here?

      Free advertising for the Rep.

  • I wonder how many bought it at it's highest - $1,167.58

I guess at this price you're saving $868.58 …. gotta spend money to save money.

    • Looks like pattern in artificial price inflation and price drop to look like it’s a good deal.

This better be made out of space grade titanium and able to simulate the sun…

  • My eyes are not worth this much.

  • Looks alright, just ten times as much as it might be worth.

  • I'll buy it if my employer can reimburse the cost for WFH.

  • also comes in 24k gold

Oh I'm sorry just re read the listing and the price threw me in to thinking it was real gold.

I can appreciate an expensive but high quality lamp but without any CRI figures being given I'm not sure I believe it's very good.

      Hi there,

      Thanks for your inquiry.

CRI is one of the most important elements in selecting a perfect desk lamp.

For lighting companies to enable consumers to differentiate between high-quality light and the cheap ones that wash out your colour, they invented “CRI” or “Color Rendering Index.” Because the light coming from the Sun can reflect all the colours we can see – it has a CRI of 100. Today – by mixing and arranging different colours of LEDs,– a good desk lamp can achieve over 90% of all colours found in sunlight.

So to avoid buying a “bright” desk lamp that makes everything look pale and washed out – you will want to look for a desk lamp with a CRI at 90 or above.

We have a great article about CRI and why it is important in choosing the best desk lamp for your home office.
