  • Great price, nor sure whether to grab this or get a PCIe 4 one when I build

    • I was deciding between the 2 aswell. Chose to go with gen 3, and wait for directstorage to get a gen 4

  • Does upgrading from 512gb to 2TB will effect cpu performance ? Its ideapad s540 R7.

    • It would makes no difference because you have an 8 core laptop CPU. The Samsung PM981 in the S540 is the OEM equivalent of the 970 Evo(non plus).

      • is it Samsung PM981 512GB in laptop of WD SSD ? I read somewhere that its western digital in laptop and was under the same impression, maybe in the review you shared before.
I think opening the laptop before 1year will void the warranty. SO holding my horses. Its no doubt a beast in this form factor. Loving it.

Have you managed to kill the sleep issue ? Closing the lid sometimes doesn't make it sleep.

        • No issues on mine with sleep. I have been testing it out multiple times and cannot replicate it.

      • Yups, page 3 says its WD in 13 ARE and PM981 in IML version,

        • I thought that it would be a WD as well, but mine has a Samsung. They normally alternate between different brands depending on availability, so yours could be something else.

  • Does signing up to Zip Pay affect your credit score?

    • yes

    • Signing up doesn't, making purchases and not making repayment does.
