I have had my 8 pro for a month now and love it. It's a grey import with flashed Global ROM without the Band 28 and have had no issues. No screen issues either. I game alot on it and it is quick as. Fortnite on 60fps! Can go 90fps but have not tried. Battery life is fantastic. Has changed my charging habits as I just quick charge during the day for like 15mins and get it back up to 100%. Have ordered the wireless quick charge cradle and waiting for that to arrive. I went with the pro as I wanted wireless charging. Some have problems with the curved screen and unintentional touches but I use a case so this is a non issue. There is talk of the 9pro now which is expected in April 2021 so maybe worth looking at specs for that and if not that much more get the 8pro for cheaper

Good price but the Oneplus 8 Pro seems to have widespread display issues.
display issues really? What sort of? I was considering the S20 FE 5G but its display issues put me off
The main one's seem to be Green/Purple tint and black crush. Just do a google search and you'll see a lot of results on these.
The released software updates to try and fix these but realistically hardware issues can't be fixed with updates.
In saying this some units seem to be perfectly fine.
As far as I know, the display issue has been solved several months after launch.
Should I buy this one or the Kogan Global version? What is the difference between the versions?
I don't think there is a difference. Both of them are missing 4G band 28, which is 25% of Telstra's towers.
Only the European version has all the frequencies covered.
P.S. I have just returned a "global version" of the OnePlus Nord to Kogan for this reason as it was the India version.

Would have but then the Oppo Find X2 Neo went on sale at JB last week with $250 off for Black Friday so bought that. Seemed sensible to use an Aussie shop with Aussie stock and warranty if it's an equivalent phone and price.

@nismo: Sorry, I was comparing the phones I was shopping - OnePlus Nord and Oppo Find X2 Neo.
OnePlus 8 is indeed different (faster), though I'd have to say 99% of people wouldn't notice the difference.
This version does not cover every frequency of 4G used in Australia.
