[Kogan First] Kogan 1200W Elite Stand Mixer $155.99 Delivered @ Kogan

120

Note : you can buy the mixer without Kogan FIRST membership for $199.99 + shipping, so it is a better deal to pay $11.99 for a 30-day Kogan FIRST membership.

Kogan claims this mixer sells for $299 but I bought it at the discounted price earlier this year.

I'm very pleased with it so far. It is not as good as a Kenwood or Kitchen Aid but for the price it is decent quality.

This particular model does not state "all metal gears" like some of the other Kogan models that otherwise appear similar.

It comes with 11 different accessories but that includes the bowl and splash guard. I have yet to use the meat grinder, pasta roller, slicer or cookie maker so cannot comment on their usefulness but the mixing, dough and whisk works well.

  • How many times have you used it since buying it?

    • Bought this mixer for the Same price in September 2020 and haven't used it at all.

  • +1

used it a few times for cakes and banana bread, three times for dough to make pizza and bread. and once to test the whisk doing some eggs.

I bought it to replace an old bread maker I used mostly for pizza dough which I cant buy a replacement for a broken pan seal. and my other old / cheap / small mixer didn't do dough well. the manual says not to run the dough mixer too long and not above the 2nd speed and I would recommend following this.

one thing is the bowl is quite large so may not suit you if you want to make smaller portions.

  • anyone know if other attachments like the the kitchen aid, Kenwood or sunbeam are compatible, (ie "fit") the kogan mixes?

I got the premium version, given we dont use it a massive amount i think its worth it over one of the more expensive brands, guess we'll see how it goes over the next few years.

  • If you don’t want extra accessories, like Blender and meat grinder then you can go with $99 mixer. Which is more powerful as it is 1400W. I think it’s better to give it a chance. Just bought one from Kogan $99.
