Touch Screen Laptop Vivobook Flip

Hi,

I've been looking around at getting a touch screen laptop around the 1k mark and think I've decided on the vivobook flip 14. Just wanted to get your thoughts on whether getting the ryzen 7 plus bigger SSD is worth an extra free hundred dollars over ryzen 3. Laptop will mainly be used for browsing and office but may be used for some basic programming too.

  • Did you end up buying the Vivobook flip?
I'm looking for a similar machine. What are your thoughts on it?
It ticks nearly all the boxes for me (upgradeability, decent performance, touchscreen/convertible)… but I was held back by reports of poor screen quality.

Yeah I got the ryzen 3 one. Figured I don't really need the better specs for it's main purpose which was mainly browsing, netflix and spreadsheets. The build feels solid and the touch screen is responsive. Battery Life is ok too.

It's only been a couple of weeks with it but I'm happy with it. No issues so far. Like you mentioned, screen isn't fantastic but it's good enough that it doesn't bother me.

    • I got this. There's something weird about its keyboard. Wondering if it's the driver software or something, selectively doesn't work in some instances, but then works again later.
