Hiya OP. Bought another (1kg) bag again. Grabbed the last Sumatran deal and the Missus is simply loving it to bits. She said this is the best one in your collection. Sipping AirJo's Stargazer blend while looking for deals on Ozbargain. I haven't tried the Sumatra, but boy - I have trialled all of the AirJo blends, and Stargazer really is the best espresso in the world (I like the taste of a strong coffee, ie strong cappuccino made by an espresso machine and frothed milk). Simply divine. I gave my Italian MIL a bag of the Stargazer for her Moka pot, now she can't stop going on about how beautiful the coffee is. I even got a subscription set up for her! Shout out to Airjo, and also Dan the man (no, not you know who), for his stellar customer service as well (the number of email exchanges about the coffee will pee most people off - you know who I am Dan!!)

Update: arrived yesterday and having my first cup now.
Pretty good - I've been drinking more floral beans recently so this feels quite dark in comparison but still super smooth without any harsh tastes (not sure what the right adjective/descriptor would be); definitely a good coffee for those who want a kick start

Have ordered a kilo.
I have liked the Pegasus and Twilight blends, which are described as medium body. This one is described as full. I like a strong coffee, but not over-powering and the Pegasus & Twilight are good in that respect. Is there much difference in the taste?
Any suggestions on the espresso shot for a cap? Eg: lower shot temp, smaller/larger dose??
Hey there Public21 - this one is not too far from the Twilight or Pegasus in terms of strength - what you should find is a more complete mouth feel and some original Indonesian flavours that the blends tend to lose. Please do let us knw how it compares for you.

Buying for a gift for someone, but I don't drink coffee.
They use Medium Ground and make it with a Plunger I think.
Would Plunger Ground be the equivalent?

Hi Rep, newbie question: How long can I leave beans in the grinder hopper before grinding for a coffee? For example, if my Breville Smart Grinder will hold 1 week's supply of beans, will these still make a good coffee on day 7?
my taste buds probably can't notice much of a difference but nowadays i only put a bit in my grinder. it lasts maybe 2 days at most then i refill a bit.

That's good advice from freestyle - In general if you can kkep the beans cool, dry and out of light they will stay fresher for you.

Just curious anyone actually pay $50 for a kilo of coffee?
my limit is $30, refused to pay above that, if I am stuck my local coffee shop sell them for $31 a kilo
$50 isn't too bad. I expect 250 gram bags to be around $15 a pop, so a kilo comes under that, which accounts for the "bulk" buy packaging savings.
This Sumatra we're talking about here is an absolute premium single origin coffee (I'm drinking it at the moment - missed out on this deal). It's Airjo's highest-end product. You can easily pay much less, but you're not getting this.
Gotta be honest, didnt really like this blend sorry rep. Their shipping (and ofc rep) is very good though

Having the opposite experience here. I ordered the party pack (or whatever it's called) to try them all, and the Sumatra was one of our favourites.
Just Ordered. If you are still buying supermarket coffee beans, you are missing out on truly delicious full flavoured coffee. I'm addicted to these beans after trying many other roasters. This is the best coffee beans I have ever had. They never disappointed me with quality or delivery time. Thank you very much Airjo for the bonus express delivery as time matters for freshly roasted coffee beans.
