Yes with a custom device handler. A bit flakey initially but work fine once stabilised

Zigbee. Note that you have to use the Xiaomi app and no Google Assistant or Alexa support (at least in the older version)
Wouldn't it work with IFTTT, and hence would work with Google and Alexa?
Oh forget IFTTT, it's mostly paid now. The free tier is so crippled it's like a trial.

I very much doubt it.
The hub can lightup, flash, and play specific sounds. Cannot be used as a target for google talk etc.
