    wow, awesome price!

i have this exact razor holder. it's metal, not plastic… and the bracket that holds the razor cartridge wont let go of razor when you tap the razor against hard surface (like more modern plastic ones). i've tried to update and go for the fancy smancy new ones, but keep coming back to this razor. it's bulletproof even though its like over 10 years old.

the refills are one of the cheapest you can buy.
which makes this price including the holder VERY good value. dont ask me what you would do with multiple razor holders, but for the price you could throw them away and still get a stack of cartridges for $1 each.

thanks op… will check it out at local coles.

    • Which Suburb and location??????

      • Most likely WA

      • Added to description ; )

    • i prefer the sensor excel 2 blade…. then i upgraded to a double edge :)

      • I second that.

These look like store specific clearances

  • Pretty sure I saw these at Bayswater Coles (VIC)

  • very hot deal - don't know why people think its store specific when banana deals are treated automatically as if Australian wide. Clearly these razors are cheaper than bananas because Woolworths and Queensland aren't involved … . that's a joke by the way - I do see the coles in this properly addressed post.

Impressive. Given I was doing an online price-check this morning on my current Gillette Mach 3 blades, and couldn't find anything below $2/unit, this is a nice price.

Because of this post I Googled "Mach 3 vs Sensor" (guess what I currently use). And because of THAT I'm now trying to find the best bargain on a Merkur 34C HD.

I am not sure about the 34C specifically, but for other shaving supplies check out http://www.connaughtshaving.com/ (in the UK). Shipping from the UK is much more competitive than from the US in this field.

And while I only use DE blades myself (for about 13c a blade for my usual brand), this particular deal for the Sensor isn't too bad for $1 a blade. Not enough to tempt me, but a good deal nonetheless…

      • that's a clip cheaper then local offerings, I've been looking for some stuff and what I was going to order is about $20 cheaper(after currency conversion) from the UK then local.

      • Thanks for the tip mjwills. Other people must have the same idea as me at this time of year because quite a few of the Merkurs are out of stock! They have good prices though, and I'll keep my eye on them.

    • get the long handle ones! id go open comb too

      • Yeah, I have the open comb 34C HD. It's the best!

    Very sharp deal.

I see what you did there :)

        'cut' me some slack.

        • +3

I wish they could shave a bit more off the price.

    • Wicked sharp, in fact. :)

  • It's a good price but I really hate the 3 blades :/ I reckon the 4 blade razors give a smoother finish. Once you go 4 you can't go back!

plus 1 for using missus in descripton

  • Wow that's a smashing deal

  • Phew! Nearly missed this deal. That was a close shave.
