Does the Vodafone radio have good reception? :)

    • Yes of course…for Test Pattern.

    • +7

Nice of them to give something away that does have reception.

Because it would suck to try and have to get live Cricket results on a Vodafone mobile.

      • sooo many dropped catches ;)

You have to keep moving and it drops out at crucial moments of the commentary. Your friend with a Telstra radio seems to have no problems however.

Lol, They should invest their money in better coverage instead of cheap freebies.

Hint for non Vodafone/3 customers, on your phone set the network selection to manual, select Vodafone and then go collect your freebies. They only check that the phone is displaying the Vodafone network. Caveat - Assumes your phone isn't carrier locked.

Will it display "Vodafone" network or will it just say "Roaming"???

  • 500 clicks and 9 positive things to my name. hmm :(

Ain't that many people on Voda/3 that can browse the 'net…

    • I was half interested till I noticed you needed to attend the Test match. The word "Free" suddenly loses its attraction :P

  • They work on a different frequency to normal radios, designed to pick up the channels that the 2 commentary channels are being broadcast on, like the sports ears at the NRL or AFL, I'm hoping to test mine out at an NRL game, cos that will save me $60+ dollars for a free radio, and the battery lasts forever

Get a $2 Red Sim…bargain. Or better still the scam above.

  • they had these at the ashes last year, was good I didn't buy the 20 dollar radios they were selling outside, that do pretty much the same thing

    $84.00 through MoneyBackCo?

    • The $84.00 is the cashback if you signup to a new Vodafone post-paid service through Moneybackco. Ozbargain automatically displays the Moneybackco amounts for posts that are linked to an eligible merchant.
