Can't find any real bargain at kogan, even after promotion stacked.

    • Got edifier BT1700 for $100 after commbank cashback, free shipping and cashback

  • +1

Used to be first purchased only right

    • +1

Used to be, not for this promotion, it's for new and return customers

  • Are existing customers eligible?

  • Does this work if buying from a third-party retailer through Kogan's site?

  • +3

Will this stack with CommBank cashback reward?

    • +2

      Yes it will

    • Westpac have a targeted reward too at the moment. $20 off a $100 spend.

      • How do you get that?

        • Check your westpac extras rewards. Not sure which credit cards it is applied to sorry.

Happy to shop elsewhere since Kogan were fined for upping their prices before offering discounts…

    • +2

They have done it again this year.

    • Like that hasn't been happening anywhere for decades.

      • And so they should be fined…

        • It's the same as "free shipping". Do you seriously believe it's free?

          • @Clear: How is that anywhere near the same?

            • -1

@Herb Utsmellz: How is it not? They simply add the cost of shipping into the price. It's a form of price jacking. Price jacking in itself has existed before the internet, but at least now it's much easier to prove.

  • Anyone finds a good bargain on Kogan ? My $20 Rewards credit is waiting to be spent but can't find any real bargain on Kogan. Seems all items are expensive comparatively.

    • Just grab some beer. Seems like a decent discount for that.

      • minimum $100 to be spent to avail $20 :(

Don't forget to stack free shipping code SANTA, applicable on "most" items.
What to buy? Seems like most OB'ers have at least one Xiaomi Air Purfier, 'might want to consider the $45 filters delivered, before cash back.
    https://www.kogan.com/au/shop/?q=xiaomi+air+purifier+filter

    • Will that stack with this cashback and the $20 voucher? If so is the cashback tallied before or after the voucher?

      • You might want to try, I have used up mine previously so can't test.

        • I haven't bought the plus rewards deal for the voucher yet, was hoping someone else would test it out haha.

    • Yes, its listed under coupons. Weirdly, the deal is marked expired.. lol

    • I refuse to buy Kogan First for $11.00 and was waiting to see if they were going to drop the Xiaomi Air Purifier Hepa Filter (the grey one) from $45 to $35.
The only problem is the shipping cost when they do that deal it effectively wipes out any saving if you don't already have Kogan First. I already did a free trial many years ago and I can't be bothered creating new accounts.

At least with this deal the SANTA code (free shipping) is allowable with Cashrewards so after buying 2x Hepa filters ($90+free shipping code) with cashback -$8.18 the price is much more acceptable.

  • Excludes payment with gift cards?

    • i'd like to know too

      • "You may not be eligible for Cashback:

If a gift card is purchased or used as payment."

Tempted to cancel my order from 2 days ago and reorder but then may not get CB.

        • Saw that this was under tips and not terms. Took the gamble and my purchase was tracked

  • can kogan credit be used as form of payment?

  • +3

Why this deal is marked as expired? Seems like the cashback is still active?

  • +1

what about pre-sales (eg, Nintendo Switch game), will it count as well?

  • Can you make multiple transactions to get the $15 cap, or does it need to be a single transaction?

    • is capped at $15 in total per member account, irrespective of the number of transactions made.

      • All good, reason for the question was that I bought something for $50 then it tracked for $5. I wasn't sure if additional purchases would count. I got further tracking of my later purchases which filled the remaining $10.

Just to add Kogan has been fined $350,000 for misleading customers by inflating prices and then applying discounts on top https://www.accc.gov.au/media-release/kogan-to-pay-350000-fo…

    • They're the only ones who got caught. Businesses like House, Spotlight etc. Use this as their business model all year around and somehow get off Scott free.

      • +1

Could be, yes, almost all businesses does it but it's rather an art to not to get caught :) also if you're going to keep your promo codes like TAXTIME on inflated priced items then there's nothing left than to get caught..

  • assuming wont work on kogan e gift cards?

  • stack with CBA cash back 100-30

    • Any good deal?

      • not really. Tmr will be the expiration date for CBA and I could barely fill in my cart with $100.

        Maybe some coffee pods…

        • I also got CBA offer, couldn't find anything useful to buy. Kogan prices change a lot.

      • MX Master 3?? I can potentially see it at ~$104 with CBA cashback Freeshipping with Kogan First Trial too…. or with SANTA code
Edit: removed irrelevant referral code thing. as it's $5 for $200 min spend

Edit: hmm It seems resale value for the early mx masters is around $50… hopefully will be a good investment even at this price since the MX master 2s has been on sale for $45 before.

when you add giftcard credit, the place to type the SANTA code disappears! but then you would think well I just start the kogan first trial to get the free shipping, but even that didn't even give free shipping nor reduce a single cent from $9 shipping fee for a little label maker which is already overpriced to be delivered to address only 30mins driving distance from Sydney CBD. what bothers me with kogan is, whatever they say and advertise has no value unless you are prepared to spend entire day trying to decrypt it.

    • any update? really can't use SANTA code with gift cards?

      • +1

No I couldn't but I'm no kogan expert by all means. They even cancelled the order for what I ordered and marked it "out of stock" LOL.

  • I constantly get the error: "Sorry, your payment was declined. Please contact your provider". I used Commbank debit and Amex credit. Same thing. Called Amex and was told the transaction had not even reached them and all is good on their side and nothing has been recently declined!

Thanks OP. Got both CR and CBA cash backs

    • What did you buy? Been looking to use both offers couldn't find anything
