Display: 15.6" LED LCD 1366x768 Resolution.

    Why :(

    • +1

I mean, it sucks, but nobody should expect 1080p at this pricetag…

      • +2

Yeah true, but also great condition on Renewd is the second lowest.

device will show evidence of heavier use that will include scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips on external surfaces, wear and tear will be visible on palm rest, keyboard and touchpad.

Still better than a new Chromebook (by a long shot!) at this pricepoint, those have eMMC, 4gb of ram and celeron…

@MBloxx: Not sure why you are comparing Chrome OS to Windows specs lmao. You might as well be comparing it to Android.
Also it's an entirely different use case.

            • +1

@pennypincher98: It was the hardware not the OS that was compared

              • +1

@bostos: but the OS is related - ChromeOS is far more lightweight than Windows, hence why most if not all Chromebooks have inferior specs

It doesn't make sense to compare spec sheets

"beats refurb thinkpads and crappy atom based laptops in every way imaginable."
Not in reliability. I guess that's why you have so many referbs.

    Came last here

    • I get thinkpads and their desktop counterparts are VERY reliable (5 year thinkcentre owner here), but Intel Atoms will kill themselves running 2 chrome tabs….

  • Will this be sufficient for Office 365 works, and web browsing please? Also what condition are these in as I wanted to gift it for Xmas.

    • +1

condition as per above and from website

device will show evidence of heavier use that will include scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips on external surfaces, wear and tear will be visible on palm rest, keyboard and touchpad.

    • +1

Will work well for what you want it for but condition might be an issue

Out of stock anyway. No need to argue lol

    • It was when I posted it

    • +3

here and here there's more, they just do 1 per listing I think which makes this not meet the minimum requirement.

  • Update: 137 clicks later it's out of stock…

  • Give me similar specs but 14" FHD IPS screen and you've got a deal.

  • Thank you all for your feedbacks. The sales guy at JB HiFi told me that they will have 15% off all laptops from tomorrow…so am hoping we see some good deals or may just wait for boxing day sale.

    • Good idea, the other OzBargainers were super fast here, it went out of stock in 10 minutes….

      • They're still in stock. Just go to the site and search for it. There are multiple separate listings and the one that the OP linked to is gone, but others are still there.

    • including Apple macbooks?

Thanks. I just picked up a convertible for the daughter. Acer spin 13 core i5 (8th gen 8250), 8gb, 256 ssd for $299. FHD, ~300 nits and 95% sRGB. Pretty decent value, methinks.

    • Decent? Thats better specs than my laptop and I paid 750, that's incredible! Glad you shopped around to find something better than what i posted…
