my friend just bought this last week, any chance to get the difference?

e-sim is a big negative if you are not with one of the 3 telcos.

btw op this is the 2019 version, not 2020 model (5G)

    • +2

The 5g model has a big increase in all aspects of the handset. If i could i would go the samsung fold

    • friend got price difference refund. got $140 refund plus insurace money abot $20

I would prefer the galaxy fold instead. This kind of folding phone do not make much sense to me when you have to compromise on spec , durability and poor batter life. At least with the galaxy fold you can get a bigger screen when needed. This one has no advantage beside being small. Not worth the compromise.

Still my best memory for choosing a phone. Love the old days with razr, guess that's what the purpose they designed this in the first place… nostalgia

    • Honestly I would love the smaller form factor, this makes more sense to me as a folding phone

      • Hmm. Small phones have their appeal but the technology specifically batteries are not there yet. U make the phone small and put small batteries U can't add a powereful SOC ( CPU) or else the battery will die in half a day. Than U put low range SOC and have poor performance in a expensive device that will become obsolete in a short time.

    Wow 2002 is calling?

Though I’d rather 2002 than 2020, so “Hello Moto”.

    • +1

Dunno about this one, but one of the Moto G series I had recently still had the 'Hello Moto' tune and voice when powering on the phone.

      • Moto g9 play has it…

  • What a time to be alive!

Although these flip and fold out phones are tested for X thousands of times, and they averaged that the user would do X amounts of that a day, I reckon these would be destroyed in less than a year.

With a regular a smartphone, I see so many people with fidget syndrome, take it out check time, unlock, lock, unlock, lock, continuously. Having this flip mechanism people would just keep flipping and closing until their OCD fidget behaviour is tamed.

It has an outer screen for checking time and notifications, (although this won’t stop the dedicated phone fidgeter).

  • Online price appears $1799 now.
