The laptop below is the minimum specs I would expect to buy in 2020.

i5 8250u - 4 core (much improved upgrade from series 7 i5 and i7's)
256gb ssd
8gb ram [not sure if upgradeable]
FHD screen

Seems like a winning combo to me. For the price, I think it's worth taking the risk on the condition. There were a few for sale at time of posting.

    Has anyone purchased a laptop from them in GOOD CONDITION ?

    Product is in GOOD CONDITION, this classification is reserved for device that will show evidence of much heavier use that will include scuffing, heavier scratches, dents and chips on external surfaces, wear and tear will be visible on palm rest, keyboard and touchpad, screen may have minor scratches, white blemishes may be evident on the screen, hinges may have small cracks

      What's normal condition, device may show signs of missing screens, crushed under car wheel or heavy scratches you can see daylight through?

      Makes me wonder what they mean by refurbished then since they peobably just blow it with air and reinstall windows (ie not refurbishing anything)

    Harvey's has some Acer sales right now. Though odd is it's using HD on a laptop should have been FHD, but whatever….

    from experience with Renewd:
    - only buy Excellent or Excellent Plus condition items
    - rest is trash
    - be sure to buy extended warranty
    - they used to be awesome value, not any more for a long time now

      This, never buy renewed or 2nd without any photos of the product, if they don't post any pics, it's probably in bad state
