Limit of one $2 Whopper per customer, per visit.

Additional ingredients have an additional cost.

EDIT: as pointed out by the mod you could use the coupon from http://dataport.com.au/hungryjacks/hun0139/ AFAIK even though the deal is not live yet you should be able to get the deal as the staff have already been told about it.

Fantastic deals. The burgers are better at Hungry Jack's.

      • +32

The burgers are 1/6th of the price at Hungry Jack's.

        • +9

You're being treated harshly for that opinion IMHO.
Perhaps they haven't tasted the herb mayo?

        • +5

..and 1/10th of the filling, 'cause the entire store is run by one lone indian man and everyone keeps yelling at him to go faster.

If you want to save money, my favorite trick is to order one of the cheap cheeseburger meals, minus the mustard, add mayonnaise lettuce tomato and onion. Hello whoppa junior

Last time I checked, HJ don't charge for modifications/additions. Only good thing about them
McDonalds do, they charge like 50c for each one, and then they usually do the opposite to teach you a lesson.

        • +24

Comparing Grill'd to HJ's is just stupid

        • +1

Rofl, do you seriously believe the food at Grill'd is healthier? Are you obese and wondering why the herb mayo fries aren't making you slimmer?

        • -8

@Zaia If you choose the right burger yes. Unprocessed chicken breast, a bunch of salad and a bit of sauce. About the same as Subway. Compared to a beef pattie that is probably sourced from 200 different cows aka highly processed cancer causing "meat".

          Also, no where near 'overweight'.

@Ahil Isn't saying "The burgers are better at Hungry Jack's" comparing it to all competition? Including Grill'd?

        • +17

^ I'd rather pay $2 for a Whopper at Hungry Jack's than $15+ for a salad at Grill'd. Did you forget you were on OzBargain?

        • -4

But will it still be a bargain if your health packs up and you have to go to hospital/spend time off work?

        • +7

when it comes to fast food I ozbargain in moderation.

  • Thanks OP..

  • What's the regular price?

    • +5

Used to be $4.95 might have increased.

      • +2

Yikes, I had no idea they'd gotten that expensive.

      • +2

        ¡Ay, caramba!

      • No way, $4.40 something

        • $4.85 at my local store.

        • wow… :(

        • $4.85 at Brisbane City too!

  • Great Deals tab does not appear on the left hand side for me :( Can we just print out your screen print?

    • It's not live yet……read the post

      • +7

Then technically it shouldnt be post as per rules.

        • It all sounds too good to be true, but I sure hope it is!!
There will be a catch…. *with any drink purchase

        • -2

Read the rules can't find where it says deals that will go live in recent future are not allowed.

        • I think the rules relate more to group buying sites where a specific number of sales are needed for the deal to become active.
Deals that are going to happen, irrespective of sales or other conditions, are ok I suspect.

        • +15

          K. Then all the JB Hi-Fi 7th dec deals and such are invalid………..LOL

        • +1

That probably should link to the group buy section as it doesn't make sense for the example mentioned.

          Back to the deal,
Looking at the Screenshot, it looks like a mock ad that the designer Tane Potaka has made for Leo Burnett. Notice the Facebook screenshot was from October.

More investigation shows the page to be, http://dataport.com.au/hungryjacks/hun0139/

which appears to be owned by Clemenger, a marketing company. You can print the coupon there. Seems legit.

        • +2

That page has the validity from 6/11/2011… a month ago.

      • +3

What do you mean it's not live yet? It was live a month ago. Please change the date from 6/12/2011 to 6/11/2011. Good find.

    • Edited, mistake

  • Anyone got the facebook link?>

    • It's not live yet……read the post

      • +1

Ummm "Offer valid from 6/12/2011…." that'd be today

        • Thats according to internal mail and not live yet.

  • +2

looks like a good offer for when it goes live, have been purchasing Macca's lately but $2 Whoppers would be very hard to go past!

  • There is no barcode it seems, so could i just screenshot that page and try it out now?

Also why did OP say limit of 1 per customer when the voucher says 3?

    • The terms and conditions will be changed once it goes live.

      • ok

        • I don't think so…. and the deals on for more than a month so you'll be able to purchase as many burgers as you want.

        • Thanks for the info. :)

  • What's in a veggie burger??

    • +23

Who cares? You don't make friends with salad.

    • +2

About half your daily requirements for everything! You're almost better off eating the Whopper!

    • +15

      ground and minced vegetarians.

      • -1

        ground and minced vegetables?

        • +8

          Joke went over your head.

    • +3

mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, ketchup, cheese and a veggie pattie

  • +3

At participating stores? Is there a list?

    • +1

AFAIK it is valid for company owned stores and not franchisees. Don't have a list though. Any store that accepted any of the other offers at any time should be fine. Hope this helps.

  • +1

So which ARE the participating stores? WA included?

  • +2

Vouchers seems to say it was valid from 6/11/2011 - i.e. a month ago!

On the first day of ozbargain christmas…

    • +1

I don't see any way to print from that page. Maybe I'm blind. If there is no way can you share a PDF version of this for those of us who don't have Word?

    • CHAMPION!

    • -4

IMHO, this is pointless until the campaign goes live with real dates.

      • Umm .. If you clicked on the provided link, you could have seen that the offer is valid from 6 Nov 2011 to 31 Jan 2012. So, I think you should be able to use the coupon right away. I definitely will give a try tomorrow.

Also, big thanks to 'oringal' :-D I can share the print out with few colleagues nicely. Gotta have a whopper big lunch party :-D

    • you, sir, are a god!

    • Legend!! :D :D :D

    • Holy balls that's a lot of votes you have there. Nice job mate ^.~

    • Nice one! thanks mate!

  • +10

I can confirm the offer is live, eating my $2 Whopper as I type. Managers know of the deal, most staff looked confused but excited as they wanted a $2 Whopper too. Just print voucher and go!

    • +5

I think you may be confusing exciting with fearful.

Coupons like this probably make it eternal lunchtime in a fast food store. As soon as they found out they probably started enacted emergency plans. Gotta lay low for a few weeks til it dies down.

  • I looked on Hungry Jacks Facebook page and theres no mention of it, but I guess if its working thats the main thing

  • Last week I went with a 2-for-1 at $6.45 due to a coupon on ozbargain.

    Perth CBD store.

Tasted so nasty and I felt so ill until it left my system it wasn't funny.

Never going back. Not even for $2.

    • +4

After eating TWO Whoppers in a Sitting!? If so, serves you right! ;-)

    • +5

yeah i once got dodgy mayo in a whopper. nearly melted the porcelain.

    • +4

2 proper size burgers from HJ will always make you feel sick, but one isn't filling enough… this is the only problem with HJ. problem with McD's is that you have to eat 3-4 burgers to get just as full and that will run you up a bit in cash and not really be worth it. I still prefer HJ over McD though.

  • +1

this is a good offer, good to know that you dont have to go on fakebook to get it as well.

  • just used these coupons through drive thru.

the cash chicks didnt know anything about it
and had to ask andoo manager.

  • Sweet as deal.!!

  • +28

Here you go. Being as OzBargain as I can.

I've layed out the voucher as colour 6 times on an A4, landscape. Feel free to print this JPEG and get the voucher 6 times.

  • I have never actually had a Whooper before (bigger Macca's fan), but for $2 thats a cheap lunch, i'm there!

    • +9

IMHO burgers at HJ's (or Burger King) are much better and juicier.

  • +6

    Post of the month.
You should be very proud op,feeding the nation.

  • Great price, thanks OP.

  • Picked up one just before, they've really got there shit together lately all ingredients were really fresh, angry onions were perfect and moving from a paper wrapper to a cardboard container makes all the difference..no longer do you get a squashed sweaty mess.Only downside you have to add your own beetroot.

  • Just got one from Oxford St. Darlinhurst so if you have late night burger cravings (or have just been clubbing on the strip and remembered to bring a voucher) might be a good idea.

  • I assume they will accept it in black and white? More expensive to print in colour

    • +2

I used the black and white and no problem

  • +19

Tried the voucher this afternoon, the girl who served me didnt know anything about it so had to call the manager. The manager knew about it but couldn't find a way to put the sale on the system. It seems that dont have the spcial deal on their system yet. The manager decided to give it to me for free ;)

    • +2

      :Ozbargain

    • which store is it?

    • which store is it?

    • +3

yea, thanks to ozbargain we are even ahead of their system! amazing! I went to the Pulteney Store in SA btw

    • I went to the Circular Quay one, the lady said she didn't know about it so she couldn't accept it.

      • +1

It's not a participating store obviously. My crew membercard could not be used there either. And the staff there were rude. To make it worse, they made atrocious burgers as well.

      • +1

Thanks, just brought one from Wynyard's Hungry Jacks.

This is better than New Zealand, where I've seen them for NZD$3.

      • yeah I went to CQ too and the guy said they dont accept it ther.
