  • Have got a WD10EACS and it is a fantastic drive. Totally inaudible during idle, read or write and super cool running. Storagereview has a good test.

At this price I wish I could justify another one. Well done mwave in any case and well done for clearly listing postage costs too.

  • For hard drive, if u don't need it now, u'd better wait, it just becomes cheaper and cheaper and cheaper…

  • Very good price and Harddrive!
    +1
Australian dollar is dropping a lot this few days, i think the price will go up.

    • lol you idiot. You really think they price them to the USD? If that were the case they'd be 100$. Like anything in this shit hole of a country it's all way overpriced and nothing to d with the value of the USD

    • The curreny matters only when the goods are imported from the states. Since many computer items are made in China or South Korea nowadays, the dropping Australian dollars don't really make any difference.

      • It's all relative. The problem is both Hong Kong Dollar and Chinese Yuan are following the Greenback (more so with HKD I think) so an appreciating USD will actually mean appreciating HKD/CNY against AUD, i.e. more expensive Chinese-made gadgets.

It won't matter that much though as retailers usually hedge to minimise fluctuation. But if AUD drops back to 0.7-0.8 USD, you'll definitely find imported goods more expensive.

  • 750GB is still the price/GB leader on market, but this is a good deal.
