Should Family Guy Call It Quits?

I've been rewatching Family Guy during lockdown and I love it, but the new episodes (S19; currently being released weekly) seem to be quite laugh-free. I'd love for this to just be a disappointing trend for the first 6-ish episodes I've seen of the new season, but I'm worried we've seen the best of FG.

Should FG call it quits and stop making new episodes?

            • @MasterScythe: Ohh we're getting into Tracy/Toofer with the n-word.
It's just hateful when he says it.

  • what is ricky and morty and why is it bad?

    • Ha are you saying it's bad or did you just hear that?

Its not bad, but it got overhyped like it could do no wrong; some people who are sensitive to that judge what they like by others, for some reason.

Its worth a watch if you like sarcasm and a light mix of wit and lateral thinking.

But it can also be a little dark and crude.

Worth a shot; id suggest watching up till ep5 to decide if you like it; the first few episodes give you no reason to 'like' the characters.

      • i have watched like 3 plus episodes. something off about it.

Yeah, ive thought long about that; i genuinely feel its because someone made a bunch of 'bad guys' at the start, they had nothing that made you care about them winning or losing.

That eventually changes but you need to give it a real chance.

If you full on dont like it though; not for you, and thats OK :)

        • I didn't like it until about halfway through the first season. One of my favorites now, it gets way better.

    • the last season (season 4) was pretty bad.

      • That often happens when one of the key staff dies though. I imagine the energy and maybe some creativity left the studio.

Almost all animation suffers when key staff pass away; human nature just dips the energy a little; and fair enough.
