What GPU to Upgrade to?

So I upgraded to a 2060s and it died 2 months after I got it returned and refunded now I’m looking at a new GPU I know it’s hard to get one atm but when stock starts to come back I’m going to upgrade I’m running 1080 144hz screen I do video editing so it looks like Radeon is going to miss the boat so it looks like Nvidia I am thinking just the 3060 as it’s a waste to go to a 3070 etc due to the resolution.

I do play some games to like flight simulator and the like so some decent performance will be wanted as I don’t upgrade a huge amount for example I’m still running a 670GTX at the moment.

So any help or advice would be awesome

Thanks everyone

It sounds like the 3060 TI is the best pick for you (assuming $700-$750 is within your budget).

I think you’re right that current Nvidia cards have an advantage over Radeon cards for video editing.

The 3070 is about a 10% FPS improvement over the 3060 TI but at current prices about 15% more expensive.

Some people might tell you to wait for supply to improve and prices to drop but if you’re running a GTX 670 I think it warrants upgrading now.

For reference I upgraded from a GTX 970 to a 3060 TI this week and so far I’m happy with it. I’m running 1440p at 165hz.

  • I suppose the big thing is I can wait till supply gets better thanks for the info I was leaning towards the 3060 to
