Cyberpunk 2077 Worth It or Refund?

Going to get a refund on Steam, then get it at a discount later on.

Game is just abit too intense at the moment to really enjoy.

Poll options don't make sense. Some people are enjoying it just fine, others are unable to play it properly. You do you.

Not really, the question is "worth it or refund". Answers could either be yes to worth it or yes to refund.
Huh? I thought was "this poll doesn't make sense" lol

Could be just be an intelligence quotient impediment. 🤷

Was hoping for deus ex casual, not hardcore euro

      • So just a fling and not a committed relationship?

  • Are you kidding? It is awesome! What do you mean by 'too intense'?

        Lolol

        • Well ;)

Most people couldn't figure out the poll, those high IQs at it again

  • +12

So it will be less intense at a reduced cost?

    • Maybe OP just has some me FOMO after seeing all the other should I keep or refund/sell it posts recently.

  • This might be one of the only, if not very few games that's worth the RRP, despite the optimisation issues and bugs. It's a one-of-a-kind kind of game.

  • +1

If you weren't following the hype for the past months/years i'd just wait for it to go sale or when alot of the bugs that are in the game right now are fixed.

    • Was expecting much more for $90 and all the hype, waiting on that 60% off now

If you cant' stand spoilers, play it. If you don't care about spoilers, refund it and buy it again when it's finished, which will probably be between 2022 and never. Next gen patch doesn't even come to consoles for this game until late next year.

Another perspective is that you won't get to enjoy all these crazy glitches at every corner of the game in 2022, so if you want to reminisce about the day 1, year 1 glitches with everyone else in the retirement home in actual 2077, then you should play it now. We aren't getting to let you sit at our table at the home if you don't know firsthand what these glitches were like.

    • Nostalgic like the mid air deagle headshot :)

  • For me, I really appreciated CD Projekt, while they're not without their faults I think they for the most part are quite good in what they do and decisions they make and I really appreciate the single player story based games they create and the effort that goes into it. I know this is a bargain site, but if I have the dough, I'll put money to support games/companies etc that I feel deserve it. So personally, worth RRP.

Also I bough witcher 3 with all DLC for like $15 on sale and I feel I owe them some cash lol.

why do so many games come out these days full of bugs… ??? Is there no testing at all anymore? Just shit get it to market, the lemmings will lap it up?

    • +1

Because people still buy it at full price.

I agree though… remember when there was no patches or updates for games i.e gameboy and nintendo 64

    • It's probably hard to test for PC because there are so many variables in systems.

    • CD Projekt Red's eyes were bigger than their reach. This game just knocked their reputation down a peg or two. All the AI driving is strictly on rails, so in a lot of ways Vice City on the PS2 was more advanced than Cyberpunk. No amount of patching will ever fix things like that for Cyberpunk.

What? Too intense? What do you mean? And do you think they are going to dumb it down later on? Or is “intense” a new kewl and hyp gamer way of saying something completely opposite of what the word’s original meaning was?

    • As in, was looking for a game to play not a 'life simulator'

      • +1

It's an RPG what did you expect?

        • The developer stopped calling it an RPG in marketing material a few months ago. It's now an action/adventure game, officially.

        • It's an RPG what did you expect?

Normally avoid all of the slow games

        • +3

          LOL @ RPG/what expect :D

          OP;
Buys CoD… "Why do I have to shoot everyone?"
Buys Forza… "Why do I have to drive cars?"
Buys GTA… "Why do I have to shoot people AND drive cars??"
Buys Dr Kawashima's Brain Training "Why is it asking me all these hard questions?

  • This happens everytime. No Man's Sky wasn't ready for release and now after major updates it's great. The same with Fallout 76… they added NPCs and more.

    Patience.

  • Does the constant crashing/bugs mean that the product is faulty so I can refund it from JBHIFI?

  • The game is good but I understand refunding it if you bought it on console or have a weak PC.
Surprised how many people even wanted to play an atmospheric first person game with a gamepad to be honest.

People got seriously over-hyped for this game though. I went in with no real expectations and enjoyed it.

  • Sony has pulled the game from the online store and is offering refunds.

  • I'm wondering if retailers would refund/offer store credit for PC physical editions under the game being "not fit for purpose". Yes, they only contain a digital code, but then using that is the only way you'd know whether the game runs on your machine.

Its a great game and runs well on PC with a RTX card.

    Stick to farmville OP…

  • I was going to wait for the ps5 patch anyway to enjoy the next gen graphics, so reckon they would get things fixed by then.

While the game seems definitely unenjoyable on a base PS4, there seems to be a lot of overhype and plenty of jumping on the CDP bashing wagon in the last few months making the situation seem worse than it is
