Digital edition for those of us that don’t like changing disks.

Price drop from yesterday.

The US version is still $79.49.

You will most likely need VPN to activate however using the app sometimes just works. Physical has been cheaper but if you plan on playing this for the next 7 years imagine how many disk changes you will save yourself. Also the game is currently buggy on base Xbox one (and PS4 but this listing isn’t for the PS4)

However the one X and series X work fine apparently. No word on series S but if you’re all digital this is your best bet right now. Edit. it’s buggy on series S as well. So just play on the X’s.

Have fun!!!!

Mattycee paid in gbp for $70.72 so can be cheaper if you have a fee free card and pay direct. Redeem code here via VPN https://redeem.microsoft.com/

  • Does the UK digital edition actually work

None of the versions "actually work".

I just figured if you're going to pay a premium like this deal then maybe it was a version that actually works.

  • As in playable, yes on series X and one X. Or as in adding it to your account use the app or switch on a VPN and enter the code if the app doesn’t work.

Read reviews of XB1 and PS4 versions before purchasing, better to wait it out for patches and buy the game when they optimise it because right now it's a buggy and broken mess that looks like a PS3 era game. BTW it hardly looks much better on PS5 and XSX and will stay like that until the next gen patch hits in 2021. If I was on console I'd wait it out as it'll only get cheaper and better.

    • As we stand we're paying for the future free next-gen upgrade. This thing makes more sense at around $55 imo (the typical discount price for PS4/XB1 games). They tried to market this game as next-gen (thus the next-gen pricing) and then delivered what's clearly a last-gen quality game (if at that).

    • I can vouch for the Series X running it at 60fps and looking nice and sharp.

That said, I still returned it.

Now even less GPUs to buy thanks to this game and I need a 6800xt for work. Yay

      even less GPUs to buy

      how do you mean?

      • Wouldn't it be obvious? It's creating more demand, though already has for ages, and it requires particularly high end hardware.

        • Well… games like this come along once or twice a gpu generation. If you’re trying to make a purchase decision based on that one game, it’s not very wise unless you got lot of $ to burn.

Been playing this on ps5 which runs the game on ps4 pro mode with down scaled graphics. Despite all the negative stuff on internet about console port’s native resolution it’s a very enjoyable game.

I play this on on a 4k / 65” / hdr tv and you’d at first notice all those internet critic’s shortcomings (wudnt have noticed these that much honestly if I hadn’t watched the reviews while a 56GB patch was being downloaded that took alotta time :-/ ) , but they soon will fade away when you start enjoying the story and the game and not worry if you gpu skipped a frame or two…

          Cheers 🍻

          • @kaleidoscope: 1000s of people have been upgrading their PCs solely in anticipation for this game.

    • Feel for you. I just overpaid early on for a 3080. Eventually one has to value time too when you don't even have a GPU too.

  • How do you activate this though?

  • If you have an Xbox One X or above this looks and plays great. The trouble with the PS5 right now is that it’s running the PS4 Pro version in backwards compatibility mode, which is very muddy resolution wise, even though the unlocked frame is rate improved on PS5.

  • How many GB?

    • +2

It's the UK version, so just the one GB - Great Britain.

All seriousness, PC is about 60gb, assuming around the same for console though that's a massive extrapolation on my part.

I bought the code, fired up ExpressVPN and connected to London and then clicked the link above (https://redeem.microsoft.com/) and it applied instantly.
I had already predownloaded it as I was buying a physical version (It still hasn't arrived) and I went on my Xbox Series X and it was downloading the 15.6GB update file and is now ready to go.
I paid in GPB and it cost me $70.72
