Low price on this Redmi soundbar that was popular back in July. It's a good budget option if you've bought a TV with crappy sound from one of the countless cheap TV deals recently.

For connectivity it uses Bluetooth 5.0, SPDIF or AUX, measures 780 x 64 x 63mm, supports wall mounting and includes a SPDIF cable.

  • So how does the bluetooth 5.0 connectivity compare to HDMI cable on sound bar? I would assume it's more stable with physical HDMI cable.

For sure. If it was me I would be using SPDIF for the TV and Bluetooth for my phone.

But will you be using any products made in China? Or food containing yeast?

It's a good debate. I am trying to avoid products from Chinese owned companies. Manufactured in China doesn't bother me as the owner can change the country they will manufacture from. BTW I hardly have any good products from Chinese companies except a few dodgy iPhone cable, case etc. which I can easily avoid.

    • it's going to be very hard to not buy any Chinese product but I think companies like Xiaomi, although they are ozbargain's favourite brand, should be boycotted.

they started as an Apple copy-cat company and i hate Chinese or any brands that don't give a crap about copyrights. CCP is a country where they don't give a crap about copyrights and it will only hurt people who are investing money to come up with a new tech.

Xiaomi are definitely inspired by Apple but they're not making exact replicas and that's why they haven't been taken to court over it. Meanwhile Lepin made exact identical replicas to Lego and they were raided, arrested, charged and now gaoled.

LOL some people just can't stop acting like a loser. What's wrong with good products with reasonable price(like: XIaomi) vs good products with huge price tag(like: Apple) and they are loved by different customers with different background(rich or poor), by the way, they are all MADE IN CHINA. I don't care CCP spying on my data. Apple, Google, US Gov, everyone is doing this. What you can do with it. Maybe you can just move back to jungle.

These sound bars always pop up on here but I never hear anything good posted from buyers.

  • What's the best sound bar on the market at the moment?

    • +1

Probably some thing which costs 10 times as much as this.

      • Haha. Sorry I don't know much about sound bars, but is it worth buying one? Does it really enhance the sound?

    30W isn't much for a soundbar.

I mean my soundbar is 120w RMS and i think that's just about right. I couldn't make do with only 30w and it's probably PMPO not RMS. This model does not mention RMS so i would say that it's lousy PMPO output. It would sound like a TV speaker.

Get some thing which has got at least say 120w RMS. Or any good Soundbar which offers RMS sound.

Get one with a sub woofer, makes a lot of difference.
