It only came out last year. I think people are getting mixed up with normal Joop Homme. Looking at the ingrediants this should smell different to Joop Homme. Pepper seems to be the main note. So it might smell a little like Sauvage.

There's no such "clone" for aventus in my opinion. It's on its own level. You may get close to it but its not the same. I can say its a night and day different between what some people call a clone, mont blanc explorer. Its well worth the money on a fragrance that you will use on the regular and I can tell you aventus gets so many compliments while walking down the street LOL. Armaf club de nuit is okay but it has it's distinct smell. If you can i reckon save your money and buy aventus. It lasts for days on your clothes and throughout the day on your skin. Be sure to follow the rules of spraying perfume and you are set to rock the world. If you just want a cheapish perfume for everyday i recommend mont blanc emblem.

@Mrinsane: Exactly I have the legit and fake one. The fake one is saturated with pineapple. Like a lot. It’s still nice though and as the day goes on it loses some of its pineapple which is a good thing.
The legit one is incredible and worth every dollar. I’ve literally had people stop and ask what I’m wearing with aventus.

Just picked this up. Can confirm its excellent. Its a subtle sandalwood type scent. I always hated Joop Homme when I smelt it a decade or so back, but this is totally different. Reminds me of winter and sweaters for some reason.
problem with buying perfume from Chemist Warehouse is that you have to call the shop attendant to open the lock; and whilst you're testing the perfume, they'll just watch you like a hawk. you know you wanted to test few but due to the circumstances, you've decided to stop on the 1st test.

All these perfumes work differently on different skins but never the less good bargain….My favourite all time cheap perfume is Versace blue jeans. Incredible smell.
Notable mentions: Joop (red bottle) and Jean Paul Le male.
Also love both the black and silver bottle of creed. Best smell ever.
Yeah, Creed Aventus is great but it’s $300 for 50ml. Surprisingly, Chemist Warehouse sells it but they removed it during the 10% off sale.

Tried it today and its terrible, smell is ok but its very weak with poor projection and very short lasting. If you're looking for something cheapish but good for yourself or as a present go with CK shock or Christiano Ronaldo legacy private edition.
Has anyone who placed an order with Amazon.au for the Joop! product received it as it was due in Jan 08 ?
