Think better waiting for boxing day sales if wishing to buy from them cause probably be taking off at least 40% of prices instead of maybe paying their inflated retail prices just to get some QFF points

    • -2

their prices always way over inflated, 40Folds ;)

Why is this reason to neg the deal?

If they always sell at that price, get it. Which would be normal price to them. But how u can decide they are over inflated? Sure it’s not ur bucket thing (for me as well) but there are people who still use their services. So a deal for them.

        • -2

because it is not a deal

  • For comparison, I purchased a mattress in Oct 2019 under a similar 40W promo for Virgin Velocity and got 12,000 points on a $2.6K mattress/base package. So to me, even 12K of QF points is more valuable - but 40K is great - if you were buying the mattress anyway.

40Winks always sell stuff with way over inflated prices, that 40-50% or any sizes for single mattress price sales cannot even justify for their rip offs. Most of the products are ok quality, and mattress manufacturers just using same products witj different names among retailers so that it seems there are a lot to choose.

    • So u mean to say entire Australia shd start using ZZZAtelier mattresses?

      • -1

you just have to ask for steep discount to jistify your expense there, no one stops you from getting ripped off, totally up to you. just want to warn people about their pricing after all.
you are better off with Harvey Norman, Snooze, etc where you can purchase discounted gift cards to pay too.

        • Hold up!
Winks rips people off (by your reckoning)
yet you say Harvey, Snooze etc do not

No one is ripping anyone off, no one sells mattresses at RRP anyways
the prices are discounted always this is true, so you can consider the discounted prices to be closer to normal prices.

Winks do not do any different in pricing tha the ones you are recommending.

  • I usually just wait till they have the Any size mattress for the single size price

    • Worst sale they have.
Better off buying when it’s 40% or 50% off.

      • Not when I buy a king that is usually 2500 and the single is 999

          Work in Industry

Any mattres for a price of a single is the worst sale the industry does

          King: $2000 RRP
          Single RRP $1299

          50% off Sale : $1000 King

You ALWAYS pay more for the mattress when its APFS
(Kings offer the best value during this sale but you will pay more than if you wait for the right sale)

          • @jimbobaus: My example worked out better for me compared to a 50% offer though….

            King $2499
            Single $999

            50% off 2499= 1250…

Don’t forget we’re on ozb. Most of us know when’s the right time to buy something at its best price

            • @Danstar: Your case is rare
In 99% of situations the single price is far higher than it would be if you got in on sale another time.

Only exception would be the in house chinese made brands that are usually not sold in a single so discounted differently or heavily marked down due to the mark up

      • Bought a queen mattress at Snooze with the same offer (same price for all sizes). Is that also just as bad?

  • 40Rips have to pay Qantas for the points they are going to give you, there is no way they are going to make good money for giving you these points without ripping you off deeper

  • What is the value of 1000 Qantas points ? I'm thinking about $100 ? Correct me if I'm wrong. But if that's the case, then you are only saving at most 10%. Besides we all know that the mattresses will be $999, $1499 and $1999.
