    I bought a smaller one on eBay for $14. It worked twice and then stopped working. No HDMI signal. Hopefully this one lasts longer.

      can last twice is longer than the $14 one.

      I used at least 8 of usb-c hub, the cheapest that it still working is around $60.

  Will this work with the new Chromecast?

  I've tried a couple, and either it didn't deliver enough power to power the CC, or it wouldn't read my USB hard drives.

      Yeah may as well, don't have much to lose.

      Either this or buy a $50 which I've been told works.

      I'll grab it and see. No Ethernet port in this one though sadly, but should be fine.

      I regret to advise that it does not work.

      I even bought a 65w USB-C power supply as I thought maybe it wasn't drawing enough power, but it just simply won't read my usb hard drive nor my usb stick.
