Looking for a New Gaming Laptop

Hey all, I'm on the hunt for a new gaming laptop, as my Dell Inspiron 15 7577's cpu is struggling. I'm looking to spend about $2000-2500 on a laptop, but with space for a 2.5" SSD, and compatible with my Crucial 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) DDR4-2400 SODIMM RAM from my dell laptop. I'm also looking for a laptop with RTX 20 series gfx.

I've checked out the recent Dell G7 models, and based on the reviews on here it isn't a very reliable machine.
Any suggestions? Thanks

    Preferably not MSI.

    • cheers

  • Definitely not Alienware!

    • You mean Dell?

      • I mean Alienware. Over-priced cheap crap.

And Dell generally is fine. Just not their Alienware series.

        • I've owned alienware machines before. amazing hardware lol, just not looking to spend that much :)

  • I just got my Razer Blade 15 Advanced in the Black Friday sales, got it from the Microsoft Ebay store (reduced by $800), with Ebay putting extra $500 discount on top of that, plus shopback, I got a laptop worth $4500 (no way I'm paying that!) for $2670, still the most I've paid for a laptop but its a beast so far, can't complain at all. Only has the 2070 and i7 chips but so far I havent hit anything that is causing it to stutter. 240hz 1080p panel is great, would have preferred a 1440p but maybe next time I buy they will offer that.

Check out Jarrods Tech on Youtube, bloke reviews a lot of laptops, gives decent remarks on them.

I will say, set a budget, it removes a lot of the options. If I didn't get this deal I would have ended up with the Asus Zephyrus 14, AMD CPU and 1660Ti GPU, great 14" formfactor as well but was hard to pass up on a Blade 15 for close to half price.

    • cheers, im checking out asus laptops and they look great

  • Black friday, dell eBay had the g7 17.3inch for 1888. Had rtx 2070 and it 10th gen with 512gb ssd and 16gb ram. Thought that was a good deal

    • yeah i saw that deal, great price but not many people are happy with the cooling on that laptop and the reviews are mixed so im staying away from it.

      • I actually got it. Seems fine. Used it for video editing/rendering. Fan goes loud, but not uncomfortably so. Has a button you can press to get even more fan power, but never used it.

It did have lots of updates as I was setting it up.

        • Oh ok, I’ll check it out a bit more. I’ll be using the machine for quite heavy gaming and game designing
