Great for an xmas present because it sounds more expensive than it is!

The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve, selecting whisky from a variety of traditional aged oak casks. Then, to lend a modern twist to the flavour of the expression, Master Distiller Alan Winchester has married together a selection of the aged oak casks and American first-fill oak casks. First-fill casks are those that have never before been used to mature whisky. In the process of making The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve, selective use of these casks provides a smooth, creamy sweetness that mingles harmoniously with the delicate flavours and complex fruity tones already present in the whisky.The result is an exceptionally well-balanced and smooth single malt. To the nose there are delicate aromas of citrus fruit, and the palate is sweet, with notes of oranges and pears, and hints of toffee apples and candy.     I had to select a store that didn't say that collection of liquor isn't available and then went back to the coles homepage and it showed me the 20% off offer banner, clicked it and it showed me the liquor.

    Strange though! It's never been this hard..

  This stuff is disgusting and shouldn't bear the name. I know this taste stuff is subjective but as a long time Glenlivet drinker this one screws the pooch. Universally not liked I would be confident in saying.

    It is a turd. Released because they couldn't come up with anything fast enough to replace the 12 that they ran out of. Hence not having an age statement.

    Totally undrinkable. Do not buy.

        Haven't had it but I should think so. It at least has an age statement. Not that I necessarily buy into that as a must have (my favourite is only 4yo..) but it's hard to imagine worse than Glenlivet FE.

  I made the mistake of buying this last time… It is now 'reserved' for house guests I don't like all that much or don't know anything about scotch
