The OzBargain favourite Dell S2721DGF has once again been discounted to what appears to be the lowest price on the Dell site since late September. 30% off as part of Dell's Boxing Day Sale, and an extra $39.15 off with the coupon code.

      I bought one for $590 on Nov 30. It still says delivery by Jan 15. I wonder if the delay will hit me.

      It's kind of tempting to cancel and purchase for this new price, but maybe I'm lucky to receive it by mid Jan and pay the premium

    Bought this when it came out in August. Died after 3 months of regular use. Had to contact Dell support and get a replacement sent which took 2 weeks.

    Not sure if I can really recommend it given all the trouble I've had with it.

        There are some custom colour profiles and settings easily found by googling that do improve the monitor. I have one of these monitors and highly recommend it. For <$550 it’s a no brainer.

      I had cancelled $550 deal before ordered $470 deal. Cancellation is dead easy if monitor hasn’t been shipped yet. Got refund next day. Delivery time of the second order was to be until this weekend but delayed to 24 Jan. So I have just bought a 34 120hz ultrawide monitor and it is way more gorgeous than 27 144hz one that I am currently using. So I am considering of another cancellation for this monitor again.

    At roughly the same price as the Gigabyte M27Q which one is better? The Dell seems to have slightly better response times but at the expense of some minor inverse ghosting. The M27Q seems like it has better picture quality with better contrast

      You could go either way and be happy. I'd just try get whatever has the better price at the time since they are so close in performance, although if you are buying the GDF directly from Dell at the moment it seems you will probably have to wait a little while for it to ship.

      M27Q uses the BGR pixel subtype, meaning that no matter how much fiddling you do in windows, the text won't ever look too great

        Was making the comparison for these two myself! I remembered my mum bought a Dell laptop recently so managed to snag an extra $60 off. The Dell S2721DGF for $460 was a no brainer for me despite the possibily quite long wait time.

        Without knowing what the BGR pixel subtype stuff means I reckon the M27Q is probably the better option if you can get it for the same price or cheaper. Otherwise just know that performance will realistically be very close.

        The high contrast is tempting though, I originally wanted to go VA because those deep blacks, but after I realised black smearing was a thing I got a bit grossed out.

          Essentially what it means is the pixel's are arranged in reverse than a standard panel, which windows usually isn't able to fix as all their cleartype settings are designed for RGB. It's not really noticeable in gaming, but will make productivity stuff a lot worse as text is noticeably worse

    This is part of a "Boxing Day" sale that ends on the 24th. Does anyone else think this is odd? The "sale" period is extended to the 31st December for things like laptops. Does this possibly mean that monitors might go on a further sale from the 25th onwards or could they possibly go back to full price?     Yea got mine on the 6/1 as well when ETA was like Feb sometime so was pretty happy.

    My panel was pretty good too; white uniformity was average but I couldn't see any light bleeds or glow when displaying a black screen.

    Ordered in Dec before Xmas and was scheduled for delivery in February but got it today (19th Jan). But as suspected cash back with ShopBack AU didn’t track and missing transaction claim didn’t help (still fingers crossed for a second review). I am starting to suspect the rumblings about bigger amounts of cash back not tracking to be true (as all my previous transactions have tracked). Time to close the ShopBack Au account ….
