Was looking up prices for a friend interested in this phone and found this daily deal from shoppingsquare.com.au.

          moocher is new mod?

Not that new - since June. I'm actually doing some development for the site.

Price seems ok, too big for my purposes. Got an SGS2, won't buy another smartphone now unless we see substantial battery improvements

agree. every manufacturers only focus on processors, screen size, graphics, camera pixels, etc but they forgot to try to invent new battery technology! eventough every human complained about battery life of every devices…

      • I don't think they are the one's responsible to invent battery technology. Even Apple does not. All Apple do is to redesign electronics to make more spaces for battery - hence more battery life.

Battery technology is yet to have a major breakthrough… Hope someone comes up with an Arc Reactor like Tony Stark.

    • If you haven't already, I recommend getting the high capacity 2000mah battery.

I wouldn't recommend getting at this price . Surely you will see it for lesser . I have already witnessed being 150 dollars less ( Shipping included ) in an overseas marketplace website . They wouldn't ship to Australia so no point quoting them . But i would wait this one out . =)

  • A decent price for a 1280*800 screen.

    • Nice resolution I agree.

And it's a decent price for what is effectively a tablet and phone, if you can live with the compromised size, a small tablet or a huge phone.

dont buy from shoppingsquare, their customer service is a joke

    • I can handle low customer service for cheaper prices, unless they ust faily to deliver its ok

      • don't be surprised if it takes more than 2 weeks to deliver

        • don't be surprised if it takes more than 2 weeks to deliver

According to the details on their 'direct shipping offer':

For Digital Camera (and Lens), Video Camcorder or Mobile Phone orders - the items will be shipped directly from Oversea Supplier by Fedex, DHL or EMS. It take 3-7 working days to arrive Australia wide.

Having said that, I've never bought a mobile phone from them.

        • Might want to check the SGS2 debacle…

        • Might want to check the SGS2 debacle…

          I see. That's a shame.

      • it's not like that they dont deliver your purchase. it's when you have warranty issues, then it becomes a nightmare. i bought a modem from them and it broke, returned it a month ago for warranty replacement, till now there's no progress, and their customer service took 7 days to reply the message. SS sucks!

It's actually cheaper in Kogan if you buy their giftcard to save $75, $649+$19(shipping to NSW)-$75=$593
The only problem is you have to wait until Xmas.

    • Oh that is brilliant :)
      $19 delivery to WA too.

    • +1

      unsw student :S ?

    • Thought the gift card can only be used on Kogan products?

      • No, they are different gift cards.

    • Would this be OZ stock (if it even exists)?

It's shipped from overseas, so I would think not.

Thanks for posting the better combined price from DWI.

      • %2 surcharge on pretty much everything bar DD. So works out at $610~

I just ordered one, was tossing up between this and the SG2, this for around $600 has won out after much deliberation.

Very much looking forward to receiving this little beast, going to be a good upgrade from my Inspire 4G I think.

I bought mine for $725. A absolute steal at $599. Just saw nexus yesterday and wasn't overly impressed with the phone. Get the Note if you can deal with the size :)
